As many goes away with the thirsty question of how Almajiri system could be reform regarding my recent post on Mallam Nasiru unkind gesture of eviction every Almajiri school runner within and outside Kaduna metropolis. And as they popularly know I Audu is an advocate of Almajiri reform, so they remain bamboozle and perplexed for that matter because they don’t expect such thought from me.

Perhaps, as how we are being created differenty we won’t be thinking or choosing something thesame because as you know the level of our reasoning is different to each other. So you might think something is right while I might think think its wrong and everyone has his reasons for choosing such as his opinion as his stance.

Inspire of me choosing reform of Almajiri school system than banning I can’t carelessly enjoy and admit seeing kids of lesser ages wandering ragamuffin around on streets barefootedly with containers holding by their dirty hands seeking something to eat in the name of Almajiranci rather I want such kids to be under a perfect care of parents and govt while pursuing their dreams of Qur’anic memorization and other knowledges.

Moreover, People should first understand that there is a clear dichotomy between Bara ( Begging )and Almajiranci ( Almajiri school system ) the two are erroneously used as one but they can’t be used interchangeably as many thought for fairness sake.

This Almajiri system is a unique old system of acquiring religious knowledge and scholarships that requires people to vacate their comfort zones for some suitable areas where they fit staying to learn.

While when you are talking of Bara which is Begging in English term, thus is just an archaic tradition imposed by some wicked and vulnerable people who can’t afford to take the responsibility of their childs then they chose send them out from their localities to some far locations in the disguise of Allo school system.

So merging the two will never be fair for the former is acceptable religiously, socially and even psychologically unlike the later which the religion admonished people about it and it’s a taboo to some while a forbidden practices to some.

Well, if you understand this point enough then I can now tell you how if govt is sincere about how to salvage the society by tackling the issue through reformation instead of ban or abolishment.

1. Let govt create an Agency under ministry of education which will be regulating the affairs of the system nationally.

2. Govt should design a requirements in which for everyone child to be enrolled in to that particular school must reach at least 12 or 15 years.

3. Govt should try to readopt Jonathan tactics by building modern schools which will serve as conducive learning environment to them in all the Muslim states and also provided a modern slate for the pupil in order to modernize the system too.

4. Govt should better design Salary scheme for their teachers in order to reduce the burden of expenses from their yoke because most of them are pastoralist in nature.

5. Finally let Govt cajole the local communities by using traditional rulers and Ulamas as amicuscurie to allow their child to first receive the early treatment of parentalhood from them.

I’m sure, by following this the menace of Almajir and Bara will reduce by 75 % Insha Allah. And please don’t think of modern day Islmiyya because the local settlers won’t have such civilization that they will easy enroll their child to such schools simply because their minds are not owk with the structure of those schools.

Meanwhile they prepare seeing their childs holding stale while memorizing the Holy Book simply because it’s their ancestral mode of education so they can’t withdraw it to the trash and easily succumb to the modern one. Nonetheless its a fact that most of those local people are conservative in nature, they revere no one than Ulama and they respect no system of education in contrast to that Almajiri system.

So let them feel the fragrance of love of care by meeting their demands by the govt. When govt showcase such sumptuous gesture to the system the sheikhs will surely admit and happily follow the due process as it being stated by the govt.

But anything in contrary to that, it won’t deliver good results rather it will keep creating a firce fight in between govt and those analogue sheikhs and their staunch followers inclusively. However, we should withdraw away the archaic thought that Almajiri system is the root of terrorism in this area because even America as a saner slime is a victim of terrorism despite having no single Almajiri camp in their country.

Above all what matters is justice and fair play, let’s govt love and choose what it peoples love when they are the majority for peace and prosperity sake. More especially in a democratic entity like Nigeria, the govt should wholeheartedly obey the choice of the majority.

May peace reign in Nigeria.
