On The Death Of COAS, Ibrahim Attahiru -By Usama Abdullahi

Attahiru

I will, however, never cease to say Nigerians embarrassingly remain enigmatic people on earth. Our confusions are increasingly ascending on daily basis, yet we chose to live with it. I know, as sensible folks, no one could make an attempt to mock the demised. No belief allows its adherents to gloat over someone’s misfortune or death.Never.

As a people, we always count ourselves different: doing things on our own, going beyond the prescribed limits, and enjoying it that way.See the awful mentality in us? Why and how is it right to rejoice over the COAS, Ibrahim Attahiru’s carcass? I see no coherent points for that.

On several occasions I speak to myself of these, that our problem is deep, deeper than the red blue sea. What makes it so deeper? It is the appalling mindsets in us. Many assume that if they bitterly detest or if your beliefs vary from theirs, you will forever be unable to put smiles on their face. This is it. Imagine how we are woefully compromised. Death isn’t a matter to joke with nor is it a doll that we can play with as we so wish.

People sometimes forget that the grave they see meant a home to all. The death they made a laughingstock is sure and unescapable. It’s unfortunate today that people neither hearken to nor acknowledge prophesies, seldom attend places of worship but are rather interested in unimportant stuffs. I laughed out my lungs whenever I peruse the proverb DEATH KEEPS NO CALENDAR. Let them perceive this themselves.

We only jubilate when our adversaries are gone, like the dangerous man, Shekau. But mourn all day, when our beloved is no more. Ibrahim Attahiru is a martyr, he dies while serving his fatherland. Peace be with him and all involved in the plane crash. As a muslim, I was told if a religious man dies a plane crash, car accident, fire outbreak, flood…. or on friday, he is most likely among those that God promised Paradise to.
