It’s germane for me to state that this letter comes from my love for your administration and not out of political affiliation; I’m an independent political observer and presently not a card bearer of any political party which gives me the opportunity to learn my voice at this critical period. Having studied your leadership frame perspectives, I can unequivocally assert that, I’m someone who has thoughts on your vision to transform Oyo State and I believe in the attainment of the prosperous state you and your teams trying to have in Oyo State to regain our feet as the slogan of the state ‘pacesetter’.

I will implore your excellence to read with utmost pure heart, devoid of political sentiments, as I will be discussing the important issue rallying round the; emergence of Oyo State as sole owner of LAUTECH.

Your excellence, I must acknowledge that within one year and some months, you deserve some accolades as governance is not an easy engagement, as such, and there are a lot of things yet to be done. Your strides to showcase what continuity in government means have brought Uhuru to LAUTECH.

Your Excellency, I will not lose focus by writing things yet undone but write on the success achieve on the LAUTECH single ownership and way forward toward solving marginalization in Oyo state and making the full ownership flower blossom.

Permit me your excellence, to take you on a glance at Osun State University, Osogbo model:

‘’Osun State University is set up as a conventional, multi-campus university charged with the production of high quality, well–rounded, globally competitive and entrepreneurial graduates who are catalysts for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development of Osun State and Nigeria’’

Distinguished Governor, permit me at this point borrowed some clarity on the Osun state university model. A multi-campus university, beyond congratulations I think this is way to go, considering the fact that many of our region in Oyo State have for time in memorial talk about marginalization and lack of fear share in the state development.

I humbly solicit that you setup committee to review former governor Adebayo Alao Akala papers on multi-campus approach they drafted for Oyo State, when he achieve total control of LAUTECH which by his grace your administration in a very short time actualize and make the dream come through. If what was experienced during the former governor was just for political gain, please step up your game by given us a multi-campus LAUTECH.

Sir, let me point out what a multi-campus LAUTECH can give us as people:

  1. It will serve students who cannot travel far from home for university education because of family responsibilities, their jobs, financial limitations, or other factors.
  2. The availability of branch campuses will increase higher education enrollment.
  3. Improve cultural diversity.
  4. Provide opportunities for region of new campuses.
  5. Create new employment opportunities. Because many faculty will be created, this will employ more hands.

Your Excellency beyond the above mentioned important, a multi-campus LAUTECH will definitely add to your score of a true democrat. I’m confident the same committee that work in achieving the long separate pact for LAUTECH can be engaged to look into the multi-campus arrangement that will brings about egalitarianism and curb marginalization of regions in Oyo State.

In Conclusion

As I stated in my first paragraph, this letter is written with pure intention, as the writer is one of the progressives who believe your administration as the will to transform our dear state.

I will be glad if all points raised are given proper consideration for the advancement of Oyo State.
