Oyebamiji Clinches APC Ticket for Osun Governorship Race
Former NIWA chairman Bola Oyebamiji has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the Osun election after securing unanimous endorsement from 1,660 delegates at the party’s primary.
Former Chairman of the Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Mr Bola Oyebamiji, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2026 Osun State election.
Oyebamiji secured the party’s ticket after being unanimously affirmed by 1,660 delegates at the APC governorship primary.
His emergence followed a nomination by one of the aspirants, Mr Kunle Adegoke, SAN, which was seconded by another aspirant, Senator Babajide Omoworare. Subsequently, the Chairman of the APC primary election committee, Governor Monday Okpebholo, called for a voice vote, with all delegates endorsing Oyebamiji’s candidacy.
“By the power conferred on me as Chairman of the primary committee, I hereby declare Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, as the candidate of our party,” Okpebholo announced.
