Political Maturity: Between Hope Uzodinma And Emeka Ihedioha -By Charles Ogbu

Consider these 3 men and tell me, would you have thought that Hope Uzodimma of all people would demonstrate more wisdom and regard for the sensitivity of the common people than the other two for whom the masses sacrificed everything to elect??

Peter Obi and Hope Uzodinma

In one singular move, governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state earned more political goodwill than he could ever earn in 8 years.

And What did he do?

He merely demonstrated political maturity and native wisdom by extending simple courtesy to Mr. Peter Obi who commands the respect and admiration of millions of people across the country including people from Imo state. Here, governor Uzodimma simply acted like a smart and experienced politician by respecting the emotions of millions of his people. Simple!

Not even the best PR firm in the world can give the governor the kind of enormous goodwill this single action earned him.

Now compare this with the other green capped man, Emeka Ihedioha for whom millions of people gave everything to make him a governor. Not only did he call us Saboteurs simply for pursuing a better Nigeria through Peter Obi, he has commissioned all his media team to launch a coordinated attack against Labour Party which is neither the ruling party nor has ever been in government. Check out all the media handle of every of Ihedioha’s closest aides and see for yourself. This is a man who still has ambition to run for governor come 2024. But because he is consumed by slav!sh m€ntality, he thinks getting his team to be attacking Labour Party and its candidate will endear him closer to Atiku Abubakar and Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. How more fuulishly slav!sh can a man get

Think of the other overrated guyman in Anambra, Mr. Charles Chukwuma Soludo whom millions queued up to elect as governor amidst one of the worst security challenges in the history of Anambra State. Not only have we not seen any single sign to show that the state is in the hands of a professor, most part of the state is at the hands of criminals with the audacity to rob occupants of a vehicle in broad day light while everyone walks past, major parts of the state capital, Awka and the commercial city is effectively in the hands of the same agboro he promised to put an end to. Yet, not only does he have time to be engaging in social media essays, he had the time to start picking unnecessary envy-induced, hate-motivated co-wife styled quarrel with a man whose record in personal integrity and performance he can never equal. By the way, when are we seeing the part 2 of that his dissertation he calls letter?

Sometimes, wisdom is found in the most unlikely place while f00lishness is made manifest in men in whom the society would ordinarily regard as the bastion of native intelligence and wisdom. Ironic, is it not? Time unravels everyone indeed!

Managing Ndigbo is not really difficult. We are just unfortunate enough to have one of the worst set of emotionally truncated horde of idjiots masquerading as leaders. No one is expecting every Igbo politician to resign from their party and start campaigning for Obi. We only expect them to act with wisdom, which according to the good book, is profitable to direct.

While 2023 may be just politics for the Nigerian political class who have stashed enough money to last them up to the 3rd generation, for millions of ordinary Nigerians who can barely afford 2 square meal a day, it is an existential battle and Mr. Peter Obi represents our last chance to chart a better future for ourselves. Those who stand on our way, politicians or not should expect SUICIDAL RESISTANCE.

May Our Labour Not Be In Vain
