Insecurity in Northern Nigeria

Millions of Nigerians have started Ramadan fasting amidst serious challenges of insecurity, corruption, shortages supply of electricity, as the cost of living crisis deepens on a daily basis!

Therefore, it is pertinent to call on the Muslims brethren in Nigeria to seize this divine chance to Replenish and redirect their prayers on Nigeria inorder to get out of woods, as the government unfelt policies and programs are everyday crashing like a Ship against the rock without a reasonable impact.

Similarly, on the Shortages of electricity in Nigeria these are the significant challenges that seriously affects daily lives and economic activities of ordinary citizens. Since we cannot enjoy an uninterrupted power supply with our home appliances and ventilators despite the Fasting Period, and hence we also cannot make an effort to fuel our generators due to the hike of PMS and diesel then we tell the power that they have failed us woefully. While the most glaring and disturbing part about the government in place is its laxity and seems not to have taken an appropriate measure to address this predicament and obstacle which also makes the proletariat class conditions worsening, uncomfortable, day in day out. Thereby, turning all their Hopes on the nation appeared bleak!

Of course another cankerworm of the economic downturn in Nigeria is Corruption. Because In 2012, Nigeria was estimated to have lost over $400 billion to corruption since independence.
This alone brought a serious blow directly to the Nigerian face and has also gone a long way in diminishing and discrediting Nigerian images both at home and in the diaspora.

Likewise, In January 2020, Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index (CPI) ranked Nigeria 146 out of 180 countries surveyed.

Lastly, I Do hope this will serve as a profound reminder to the Muslims brethren to pray hard unto God for his intervention in salvaging this country from the current Mess. So also the government of “Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s must lift up to its expectations and confront all these lingering issues with all seriousness. And stop all the flimsy excuses of blame trade.
