Re: Africa Is Next: Buhari Reacts To Afghanistan’s Takeover By Taliban Fighters -By Bishop Amb. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies

In the words of President Buhari, “the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic had provided some form of oxygen for insurgents to sustain their hostilities globally, reiterating that, “Africa’s fight against terror is the world’s fight.” In the article, he expressed optimism that Africa would defeat the terrorist, “one highway, one rail link — and one job — at a time.”

Nigeria's rising debt profile

-Jesus Christ the Massiah, the Word of God and the Spirit of God is THE WAY

The President, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has said that with the United States’ pull-out from Afghanistan and the subsequent takeover of power by the Taliban, Africa has automatically become the new frontline of terror and global militancy. Adding that, “For Africa to defeat the growing terrorism on its soil, the president argued, it would require more than US military aid but the entire world coming together for its sake. Buhari stated this in an article published in the Financial Times of London on Sunday.”

Ex-Presidential candidate of Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA) in the 2019 election, Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies replied, saying God forbid! There would be no such terror and militancy Islamist take over, either in Nigeria or Africa. Rather, there would be peace in our borders and all over the continent, as we plan to fully restructure and regionalise Nigeria as soon as possible by the special grace of the Almighty God.

Adesanya-Davies says, ”Mr. President, exercise the will power to restructure and regionalise Nigeria and there shall be love, peace, unity and progress again. It’s time to compartmentalise this nation, decentralise it, its time to regionalise it! She proposes the name “UNITED NATIONS OF NIGERIA” (UNN), consisting of FIVE (5) UNITED NATIONS OF NIGERIA, namely:
(1) ODUDUWA YORUBA REPUBLIC
(2) AREWA ISLAMIC REPUBLIC
(3) MIDDLE-BELT REPUBLIC
(4) BIAFRA CHRISTIAN REPUBLIC
(5) NIGER DELTA REPUBLIC.”
Mere Constitution review cannot manage the Country as it stands now, in the face of this current insurgency the nation is going through. Rather, it’s time to give the Nation, Nigeria a new and complete face lift because “a little leaven, they say, leavens all.”

He wrote, “Though some believe the war on terror winds down with the US departure from Afghanistan, the threat it was supposed to address burns fiercely on my continent. Africa is the new frontline of global militancy. Yet, few expect the outlay expended here to be as great as in Afghanistan. The fight against terrorism begun under the George W. Bush administration was never truly global.”

“Despite rising attacks across Africa in the past decade, international assistance has not followed in step. Mozambique is merely the latest African state in danger from terrorism.” “The Sahel remains vulnerable to Boko Haram, 20 years after its formation, and other radical groups. Somalia is in its second decade fighting the equally extreme al-Shabaab. Many African nations are submerged under the weight of insurgency,” he added.

“He pointed out that Somalia was in its second decade fighting the Al-Shabaab, just as many African nations have been submerged under the weight of insurgency. “As Africans, we face our day of reckoning just as some sense the west is losing its will for the fight. It is true that some of our western allies are bruised by their Middle Eastern and Afghan experiences. “Others face domestic pressures after the pandemic. Africa was not then, and even less now, their priority,” Buhari noted, while calling for global action, he warned that sooner or later, the reverberations would be felt beyond Africa.

“Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, who won election on hopes that he would tackle Nigeria’s security challenges, has not been able to do much in addressing the growing terrorism by killer Fulani herdsmen and cases of mass abductions from Nigerian schools by bandits.

Adesanya-Davies exclaimed, “it’s unfortunate that Nigeria is already shattered in the hands of the BUHARI-APC led government. What a failed state!!! WHAT A SHAME! Rather than beating about the bush and chasing after shadows, harassing and declaring Sunday Igboho wanted, and demonizing and pursuing Nnamdi Kanu; FG should rather wake up and bring all these notoriety of terrorists and bandits in Nigeria to book. More so, it’s unwise to be tagging terrorists as ‘repentant’ like repentant-Boko-Haram for instance for God’s sake!”

As FFK also said, “The Shia Islamists of Iran, under the leadership of Ayatollah Khomeini, defeated the Shah of Iran and his American allies through a people’s revolution in 1979 which has endured till today. The Sunni Islamists of Afghanistan, through Al Qaeda, defeated the Soviet Union in the 1980’s and now in 2021, they have defeated the Americans through the Taliban.”

“The world must now accept the fact that the Islamists are here to stay and that whether we like it or not sooner or later other nations in the African, Arab and Islamic world may follow their path.” Take it or leave it, this is the bitter truth”- FFK (Femi Fani-Kayode, 17th August, 2021).”

Bishop Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, alludes, at this point, “I really cannot understand why some Nigerian Muslims. Elites, illiterate and liberals are still so PASSIONATE about islamisation and Fulanization of Nigeria – Promoting Islamic cultures as sharia, hijab, open grazing, studying Arabic in schools, etc., especially in the North where they are now being slaughtered daily and they and their generation unborn stand the chance to be abducted or end up living in IDP CAMPS all the days of their lives and their ancestral lands carted away from them, as we all can now see as events are finally unfolding….”

So let’s wish them all the best because, “it’s going to be raining down fire, hail and brimstone on earth, isn’t a problem of one person”, na all of US, in fact they first, as a saying in Yoruba goes, “Orun n ya bo, kii soro enikan” nitori pe “Obuko de oorun de ni” – And the he-goat and his smell are never ever parted.”

To me, “the fact now is that the insurgents have moved from our homes, farm as forests, as well as Churches and Mosques to attacking navy air crafts and NDA. It’s high time the Nigerian government understood that their only duty is to send them all to Allah who is the only judge, and knows who is repentant or not, and could either forgive or punish.”

Again as Pastor Dele rightly puts it succinctly, “Anyone is free to write off Christians and Christianity because they do not fight, but in the end it is Christianity and Christians that will write them off. It is not the braggarts that win in a real fight. We may not be brandishing AK-47… but soon, divine anger will be visiting these evil folks. My people shall never be ashamed. The one who said it is still alive and is still God.” The Lord Jesus Christ said: “I Will Build My Church!”: “And the Gates of Hell Shall Not Prevail Against It!” Matthew 16:18.

While all the battles rage against Christians in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large by terrorist jihadits, and we are being persecuted, beheaded and slaughtered, the facts still remain that, THE MESSIAH (Al-Masih) is Jesus Christ. He alone is called the Messiah (Al-Masih) in the Qur’an. He is given this title eleven times and occasionally, he is referred to solely by this title without being referred to by name. Jesus is chiefly called the Messiah in passages that are alleged to have been revealed to Muhammad at Medina after the Hijra. Significantly, the title only appears in the Qur’an after Muhammad has made some contact with the Jews and Christians of Arabia.

In Hebrew, the word Messiah means “the Anointed One”. It became in time a title for the one who was to come, the final herald of God’s salvation, the Redeemer of the world. Jesus Christ is also referred to as THE WORD OF GOD (Kalimatullah). Jesus is called “His word” in Surah 4:171, meaning the Word of God the Qur’an. In Surah 3:45, we also read that the angels said to Mary “Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from Him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary”. More than once in the Qur’an, He is also called A SPIRIT FROM GOD (Ruhullah). “Spirit of God” (Ruhullah). The expression in Surah 4:171, ruhun-minhu (“a spirit from him”) is used in exactly the same form in Surah 58:22 where it is said that God strengthens true believers with “a spirit from Him”. The Qur’an speaks about Jesus Christ just as the Bible puts it i.e the Qur’an is as Christly as the Bible and Christianity.

Finally, there is not a single verse in the Qur’an which recommends the forcible conversion of non-Muslims. In fact, the Qur’an does not agree with the idea of forcible conversions. Islam means ‘submission’ or ‘peace’. Not only has the Qur’an not demanded the forcible conversion of others, it has also declared that the practice of forcible conversion is, in itself, an abomination. “Let there be no compulsion in religion; truth stands out clear from error.” (Quran 2:256). Rather, Jesus Christ the Massiah, the Word of God, the form of God and the Spirit of God is the way, and the Christians are called the people of THE WAY. The Lord Jesus Christ answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6).
