Former National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Distinguished Senator Victor Umeh, popularly known as Ohamadike Ndigbo, has fulfilled his promise of a brand new car to the first old boy Principal of Bubendorff Memorial Grammar School (BMGS), Adazi-Nnukwu, Anambra State, Dr. Willie Eze, whose vehicle was snatched by armed robbers months ago.

Dr. Eze was a student of BMGS from 1961 – 1965 and later became the principal of the citadel of learning between 1988 and 1997. BMGS is a foremost boys secondary school, in Anambra State offering exceptional educational services for all round academic excellence.

Senator Umeh had made the pledge during the 2021 Cultural Day celebration of BMGS after it was announced that armed robbers had attacked the Principal and made away with his vehicle.

A God-fearing and compassionate politician, Umeh has put smiles on the faces of many, through his manifold philanthropic activities and gestures. As a man who derives great joy from adding value to the lives of others, he has constantly shown concern for the masses and underprivileged thereby contributing immensely to societal growth and development.

Many less privileged Nigerians who ordinarily would not have found it easy to acquire education are today enjoying full-scale scholarship up to university level under Umeh’s Education Foundation launched in 2007 to help advance the course of education among youths.

A staunch devotee of the Catholic Faith, Umeh’s benevolent spirit has equally seen him making handsome donations to charity and offering support for the execution of various church projects/programmes, such that he was awarded the papal knighthood of the Sylvestrine Order. The Pontifical Equestrian Order of Saint Sylvester is one of the five Orders of Knighthood conferred directly by the Pope as the Supreme Head of the Roman Catholic Church.

He facilitated numerous developmental projects to his senatorial district and carried out various skill acquisition and empowerment programmes for the benefit of his constituents. He is believed to be one of the best senators ever produced by Anambra Central despite spending only seventeen months in the upper legislative house.
