Stop extorting motorists -FRSC warn officers
In order to prevent others, he issued a warning that any officer found to be deficient in their duties would be subject to harsh consequences under the corps’ regulations, including possible dismissal.

Officers have been cautioned by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kogi against motorist extortion and laziness when driving.
The warning was issued by FRSC Sector Commander in Kogi Samuel Oyedeji as he opened a workshop for heads of operations that was being held at the command headquarters in Lokoja.
In order to prevent others, he issued a warning that any officer found to be deficient in their duties would be subject to harsh consequences under the corps’ regulations, including possible dismissal.
“We are in Kogi as officers and men of the corps to serve diligently; and that we must put at the back of our minds.
“Any act that could tarnish our image as a corps should be avoided and we should rather project the FRSC in good light before the public,” he said.
He said that the safety of travellers on the highways should be paramount to the corps and urged officers be proactive in reaching out during road accidents.
