By now, those “Siyasa kulewa”and their principals must be marooning between the devil and the deep blue sea.  Bamboozled to believe that their bid would sail through. Aminu Ringim, as master of this game as they claim he is, cannot see the booby traps and the complexity of political power play.

It has always been somewhat disappointing to most people like me, that most political alignments haven’t ended up on an amicable note. The disappointment is an indication of the disturbing implications of escalating tension and animosity of  internal partisan rivalry even beyond the electioneering period.
In the middle of this lingering dilemma is Jigawa State’s PDPs gubernatorial candidate, Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, who twice ran unsuccessful in the keenly contested elections. The peculiar circumstances that surrounded his emergence as the party flag bearer, especially with presence of certain prominent personalities that grapevine have them getting interested in the baton, definitely influenced the post election responses.

When things begins to be seriously amiss  between Aminu Ringim and Sule Lamido, many things happened and many of his associates indicates and made it clear, that their principal no longer enjoys the political mentorship and company of Sule Lamido. Many of those lads have vowed to (  Even if by hook and crook) to emancipate him from the what they labelled ” hurtful” shadows of Sule Lamido by outfoxing him and hijacking the leadership of the party. What many people thought were unclear is the bone of contention in the quarrel.

At first, it was just what they termed as a ” Devine” call to Sule Lamido to Change the leadership of the party “or else”,and on whose shoulders they heaped the blame of their electoral woes. Then it was strident and harsh criticism on how he leads the party and gradually moving to their concealed agenda of attacking his persona by casting aspersions, character assassination and insinuation of defamatory utterances against him. Basking on the euphoria that greeted the notoriety of their outburst.  They were Gradually walking the periphery of nuisance to the alleyway of jebs and forcing discerning minds to fact-checked their thrash.

They loudly called out Sule Lamido with complaints about selfishness and not committing himself fully to the progress and causes of the party. The call was packaged to look like altruism but one realizes it is only made to their own personal gain. Why haven’t they made such call when the party was at the brink of collapse few years back that was literary symbolized by their principal’s candidature?

In a hindsight, He is the archetypal and the biggest beneficiary of Sule Lamido’s selfishness ( if there’s any). The next verbal punch was a mere threat not to work with Sule Lamido unless things change in consonance with the party’s Creed. In a series of melodramatic fictions by him to claim he’s austere and indigent by idly claiming that he’s doesn’t even possess a car that is worth 2million naira in order to garner some sympathy when confronted by the questions of how he was lustily booed and stoned in one Local Government area of the state.

Since they will never learn, I will tender to them a word of advice in hope that some degree of civility will finally finds there way into them. It is not wise to continuously pass judgement on a person or to repeatedly predict someone’s political demise. Worst are those of them who lurk in the shadows to pass calumny and stir falsehood against someone. These political carpetbaggers  have strained and tugged so hard to paint Sule Lamido what he’s not. However, that turbulence is from a troubled minority in the party that wanted to take over it leadership. Since they lack the requisite majority and popularity within the party, they are vigorously trying to disintegrate the party at the detriment of it larger members. They are not really an independent leadership figure. They are likely the improvised explosive devices  that were paid off to do some people’s bidding and destructive work. Their motives were all soiled and sordid.

The turmoil this minority cause was indeed hurting the party that the NWC and the BoT chairman of the party felt compelled to intervene. The action that was taken by the Party superiors placed the party on an even kneel and put an end to their penchant for confusion. They gloatingly waltzed themselves into the meeting thinking it will turn out in their favour. The rupture within the Party were to end and they should reaffirm their loyalties to Sule Lamido, the leadership of the party ORDERED.

A caretaker committee comprised of leading and highly respected party members in the state was formed guide the party and oversee it activities and conducting the state Congress.
