They have approached Venezuela to revive relationships and lift sanctions in order to start supplying them oil just to punish Russia. The same Venezuela they humiliated, isolated and dehumanized for years.

Meanwhile, Germany and the Netherlands have vehemently opposed any ban on Russia gas and oil. They don’t want their gas powered industries to suffer or for cold to freeze them in their homes. No other alternative to Russian gas. Some other European countries are talking of reviving coal use which they had abandoned at the Cop26 summit which definitely will run counter to the clean energy initiatives agreement.

Russia is holding this people to the jugular. They don’t know what to do. Go front, no way. Go back, no way. Instead of inviting Russia and Ukraine to settle this amicably and stop the bloodshed, but pride won’t let them.

From the way I’m seeing it, they might soon shamelessly approach Iran too to lift sanctions so as to start getting their oil.

Like I’ve always said, this people don’t care about Ukraine. Forget all the pretences about solidarity for Ukraine. They will still go behind to negotiate with Russia and move on after Ukraine have been left to ruins. It is a pity that Zelensky is not seeing through all these. He is being blinded by those fake show of support. Drop your ego, meet Putin for talks. Distance your country from NATO and the EU.

Shell and BP have pulled out of Russia, but Total Energy of France have vowed they would remain and continue to do their business. It is getting more complicated for Europe.
