People have frequently have reasons to question the purpose of human existence. Some have had to do so because they enjoy life and living with someone else and then before anyone can say more, the other person dies leaving the beloved in sorrow. This has caused a lot of people to loathe their life and reject religion as false.
However, a Nigerian Christian author, cleric, classroom teacher and socialite have recently tried to solve this mysteries by scripturally explaining the biblical truths.

Recently, people were gathered at the launch of a book titled, The book of Sam. A book written by Akpor Sama Raro. In the book, the author quotes from the Genesis to reveal that the Almighty want humans to be fruitful (productive), increase, explore the entire universe and multiverse, have dominion over everything and redesign, reshape and recreate reality. According to the author, that’s why the Almighty said, “Let us form human in our image, in our likeness, so that they will be like us…” In the book, the author even revealed that humans would have remained in Eden if the enemy had not acted their own role as expected.

In the book, the author also revealed that the sacred scriptures have never avoided the grim reality of death. In the book, the author quoted biblical scriptures which reveal those whom the Almighty befriended but who eventually died with the Bible recording that such people despite their relationship with the Almighty, eventually died without the authors of the Bible trying to hide the grim reality of the death of such people. The author also used verses from the Christian Bible such as Psalms 89:48 to prove that death is scripturally inevitable.

The author is Nigerian and thus, just as the Hebrew Bible seem to revolve around the Hebrew people, so also this book of Sam revolves around Nigerian people. The author scripturally shows how the Christy that will deliver Nigerians from financial and all crises bedeviling the nation could be a young girl from Jesse town in Nigeria’s Delta State.

The author also revealed how a language change from English to a different language could help Nigerians. The author wrote about the Hausa language, how it belongs to Afro-Asiatic or Afrasian language family the same way English language and Hindi belong to Eurasian or Indo-European language family, how it is one of the native Nigerian language (if not the only one) that is used in communication as a lingua Franca by nations that are not Hausa and not related to the Hausa while other native languages are only spoken by members of the nation or related groups. The author wrote how the people of Edo state do not speak Yoruba language as a common language despite having an Oba at Benin, how the people of the Delta province do not speak Yoruba despite having an Olu at Warri but rather resort to bloodletting against the title of Olu of Warri. The author also writes how the people of Akwa-Ibom and Cross Rivers states do not want to be called Ibo people and try to avoid the use of Ibo language in communication.

In another chapter, the author writes about the fact that because of the use of English language, some Nigerian students aren’t putting efforts to invent, to explore the universe, to subdue, to have dominion. They are rather satisfied that the British people have been exploring space and inventing inventions. These students, according to the author, will rather sit with students from francophone west African countries or with students from Angola and argue how they, the English people, have achieved a lot more in terms of exploring the universe and inventions more than the French people or Portuguese represented by the students from francophone West Africa and Angola.

In the seventeenth chapter, the author revealed who Akpor Sama Raro is. The author revealed that Sama Raro was initially Samuel Akporaro, a graduate of Delta State University. Sama is revealed as someone who is desirous to be a biological parent of children, a person who is not of any Indigenous nations of Nigeria but is ethnically Nigerian. ACC to the author in the book, belonging to any native Nigerian ethnic group has been a problem because in recent times people have been desirous to protect their share of opportunities by fighting for their share through ethnicity and trying to prevent assimilation of others so that others do not partake from what accrues to the ethnic group to the exclusion of Aborigines.

On her part, the mother of the day, Mama Rose Oduah, who was one time chief executive officer of Udu local government authority spoke on the need to strengthen the reading culture of Nigerians. According to her, if anyone wants to reveal a beneficial secret to the world but don’t want Nigerians to know, then the person will have to put it in writing because reading is too boring for Nigerians. According to her, almost all Nigerians (not all) are illiterate, some are schooled illiterates while some are unschooled illiterates. She also cautioned against trying to change the common language of Nigeria. She said in Delta State alone only the nominal, Olu of Warri, not as if it is Olu of Warri, Ijaw and Urhobo, can easily cause bloodletting not to talk of moves that threatens the identity of a group of people. Thus English or Naijá should remain the common language without attempts to favour one of the native Nigerian languages.
