Jonathan Michael Bowman J.D an American National keynote Leadership speaker and section chief at the Attorney General’s office in California. Succinctly captured it this way: “A leader without vision, is like a piano player without a piano or a kite without a wind.”

Leaders Without Vision are like champion without scars. They are usually very desperate for everything: power, money and women. They are very manipulative, deceptive and crafty. They could walk on corpses and dance on the grave, in the effort to attain their desired height and actualised their individual inordinate ambition.

These are the types of leaders that emerged from a discredited and fraudulent process. They are very selfish, greedy and crafty. The good people of the African continent and the third world countries, particularly Nigerians, that suffered from underdevelopment are their victims.

Many of the so called leaders are agent of the imperialists. They collaborate with the imperialists and recruit trained Africans into the local system for the selfish and greedy purpose of the interest of very few people who then set in motion the policy and tricks to shortchange the local system.

They then become more richer than the nation itself, and reduce a once prosperous nation to the poverty headquarters of the world, while looming large and their boys and girls are rewarded with fantastic global institutions headships; while the gullible masses and so many of our citizens wallow in abject poverty, economy destroyed, and yet, the gullible masses continue to defend their oppressors, unknowingly.

This is the situation, whereby the poor gets home, if at all there any: no constant light; no access to pipe borne water; no food for the family members; can’t pick his bills; total infrastructural decay; contending with issues Insecurity, and poor leadership.

Therefore, as we continue in the “Search For A New Nigeria” and the process of rebuilding our dear nation Nigeria. We must do everything possible to Restructure the process of electing our leaders and the mindset of our citizens. So as to prevent the pitfalls of the past.

At this point, as we celebrate the Eid-al-fitr with our friends, brothers and sisters; it is a time to reflect on the past and the “Way Forward” believing in the benevolence and mercies of God; discharging our responsibilities as citizens and ensuring that we get the right sets of Leadership that will put the interest of the generality first, and above Self-interest. Leadership that will rise up above self-limitation and personal aggrandizement.

Barka de Sallah.. ITS TIME FOR LOVE TO CONQUER HATE.
