This Game Played By Muhammadu Buhari -By Ishaq Bilal

I’m beginning to believe that the various parade of criminals, terrorists by the Police and Army are just “should be innocent people” being used to represent what they actually not just to make us calm down and clap our hands that we’re in safe hands.

President Muhammadu Buhari

This game played by Buhari and his cohorts using human lives as tools to score points needs clarity.

The lives of almost every Nigerian have been threatened one way or the other, physically or psychologically by the rate of insecurity in the country.

But with Buhari’s usual “I assure you” talk, no longer holding water, as after a speech of I assure you, the next is a bigger hit by either bandits, Boko Haram, ISWAP, Kidnappers.

It is so disheartening that one of the Cardinal reason why the man was voted in as the President is the biggest challenge we face now. We’ve thought that since he was military, those strategies by experience he has gathered will give him an edge over the issues of Insecurities we have but as it stands, these Devils are those with the security expertise and what Baba only does is assures.

But when we shout  and our noise is becoming too disturbing, they bring us signs of relief with news with beautiful screaming headlines of arrests, dislodge, kill of these inhuman elements but what still baffles me is how many of these people do we have tormenting our nation that irrespective of these supposed military retaliations, they still seem to be overly present.

Well, I’m beginning to settle for an answer that as Buhari comes up with that political propaganda talk of “I assure you” so also are these military operation swayed to that motif too.

But another question is, why are the real culprits not dealt with? Are they too powerful or  they are instruments of the government used for political gains

We are watching even though powerless, but one day, the owner of the farm will return to make good use of his hoe which Buhari and his cohorts are currently using to gather dungs.

At least tell us if you can’t fight insecurity. Let us know how to prepare for the worst and not play with the lives of innocent citizens.
