Tinubu, The Hike In Price While Quality And Quantity Underslung Needs Solution -By Comfort Enoch Istifanus

The truth of the matter is that with mass poverty, millions of poor people can’t eat one meal a day, many who are sick in our malaria endemic environment can’t afford to buy the commonest anti- malaria drugs. There is high morality rate in the population arising from hardship. Criminality is on the rise as that appears to be the only solution to this hard economic environment.

Tinubu

Mr president, I hope this letter finds you well. I urge that you give this issue a careful consideration.

The hike in prices but yet, quantity and quality of products reduced makes life in the country so unbearable and difficult. Money no longer has value because it’s purchasing power has been drastically reduced.

The increment in salaries is a good step towards relieving Nigerian citizens from their difficult situation. But the question here is that, is it all workers that will be having this salary increment? If not all, is it the same goods and services that all workers needs to survive? If yes, what then is your plan to those whose salaries has not been increased? Also, is it every citizen that is working with the government? If no, how will they cope with the hike in prices?

Ideally, if the cost of a product or service is high, then it must either be qualitative or in a high quantity, but sir, in our country Nigeria, the amount and quality does not determine the price, why? This makes life difficult and we the citizens of Nigeria are pleading that you should please do something.

Citizens finds it hard to purchase or buy products as the price does not only multiply in two folds but also in three or four folds.

Mr president, I am appealing that this issue should be given careful considerations, if the rich are comfortable with the new changes, the poor are the masses and needs to be considered also. Life is so difficult for us, we urge that you bring a solution to this trouble.
