Trump to Host UFC Fight at White House on His 80th Birthday, June 14, 2026
President Donald Trump has confirmed a UFC fight will be staged at the White House on June 14, 2026 — his 80th birthday. UFC boss Dana White promises the “greatest fight card ever assembled.”
President Donald Trump has announced that the White House will host an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event on June 14, 2026 — a date that coincides with his 80th birthday.
“On June 14 next year, we’re going to have a big UFC fight at the White House — right at the White House, on the grounds of the White House,” Trump told Navy sailors during an address at the Norfolk naval base in Virginia. He did not mention that the date also marks his milestone birthday.
The event was initially announced by UFC President Dana White for July 4, 2026, in celebration of America’s 250th Independence Day anniversary. White has since promised it will be “the greatest fight card ever assembled in the history of this company.”
Trump, a longtime fan of mixed martial arts, has been a familiar presence at UFC events, where he is often greeted by fans with rock star-like enthusiasm. His decision to bring the combat sport to the White House marks a historic first in U.S. political history.
On his 79th birthday earlier this year, Trump organized a military parade to mark the U.S. Army’s founding, signaling his flair for combining personal milestones with national celebrations.
UFC, the world’s largest mixed martial arts promotion, features fighters using a blend of combat techniques including jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling. While its brutal nature and risk of brain injuries have drawn criticism, the sport’s popularity continues to rise, particularly among young men — a key voter demographic.
The planned White House bout underscores both UFC’s growing mainstream acceptance and Trump’s enduring connection to the sport.
