Manchester City on Wednesday night defeated Leeds United 3-1 in their Premier League clash at Elland Road.

Erling Haaland in a stunning performance tripled the scoreline for City in the 51st and 64th minutes after Rodri scored a late opener for the Cityzens in added time of the first half, 46′.

Manchester City have now scored 43 goals this season and Haaland has 20 of those goals to his name.

City move three points closer to table-topping Arsenal who are now five points ahead of the champions on the league table, closing the eight points gap. They sit in second place with 35 points.

Leeds United managed to steal a clean sheet from the champions with Pascal Struijk scoring in the 73rd minute after Sam Greenwood gave the assist from a corner.

They also did well to stop Haaland from recording a hat-trick in the game as Haaland’s 92nd minute attempt was blocked.
