Who’s Blackmailing Senator Lawal Adamu Usman? -By Ibrahim Mustapha Pambegua

Like the proverbial cat with nine lives, Kaduna central senator-elect, Lawal Adamu Usman, has escaped or jumped up another booby trap set to him by his enemies who are not comfortable with his victory at the just concluded presidential and National assembly elections conducted on 25th February,2023. Lawal Adamu Usman was declared winner by INEC having polled 226,081 to defeat his closer opponent, Muhammed Sani Dattijo, who secured 181,130 votes. Immediately INEC presented certificate of return to him, some enemies behind, hatched dirty and malicious job to blackmail him. This time, they have sued him on the baseless allegations that he forged his educational certificates . Interestingly, the schools he attended hurriedly proved the Filth columnist and their co-travellers wrong. They tendered the certificates in question and the year distinguished senator-elect, Lawal Adamu Usman, obtained them. 

Before the latest orchestrate campaign against the senator-elect, one recalls with sad, how these enemies of progress ganged up against him during the primary election. They concocted all sorts of lies and innuendoes to invalidate the outcome of the primary election which produced him as legitimate winner. Having failed to achieve their sinister motive, they took their case to Court with the hope that the judge will illegally side with them. Though, at the federal high court, the judge danced to their tone, subsequent rulings by appellate and supreme Courts set aside their selfish acclaimed victory and affirmed Mr LA’s mandate. No amount of blackmail or campaign of calumny will reverse the victory recorded by Lawal Adamu Usman in the last general elections. His victory is for the good people of Kaduna central who unanimously voted him to represent them in the red chamber. In the next four years, Kaduna central should expect good representation. The senator-elect, has already fashioned out workable plans for growth and development of his constituency. He promised to empower youths and vulnerable women.

Lawal Adamu Usman’s towering popularity which became the envy of many politicians did not come over a day. It is cumulative of sacrifice, philanthropist and commitment display by him spanning over a decade. His house is a mecca of all sorts. People troop on daily basis to look for one favour or the order.  The senator-elect, Lawal Adamu has never faltered in assisting less priviladge who are his second constituents. The 50millions scholarship distributed or shared to students at the eve of hike of tuitions fees in Kaduna state has endeared him to many people not only in Kaduna state but the country at large. Instead of  wasting their energy and resources to blackmail the senator-elect, I will advise these blackmailers to imitate his good works
