Yahoo boys

A lot of factors has led to the rise in Yahoo boys, they include unemployment, an unconducive work environment that doesn’t reward an increase in effort with a proportional increase in earnings and every other problem that has plagued Nigeria.

Many people came from low backgrounds but don’t want to swim in the pool of poverty again. Instead they want quick money, they want a classic life. The life style involves having fast cars and having a handful of pretty girls at their disposal at a very young age. Most of them want to attain a certain amount of wealth that ordinarily would have been built over generations.

Another thing is covetousness or greediness. Even some rich men’s children engage in this fraudulent activities. They are not always satisfied with what they have. To the lower class,When  they see their friends riding cars, having iPhones etc. They will want to join what they call “geng”. This leads to increase in cyber crime.

Another reason is laziness. Some people aren’t ready to work with their hands. They want quick money. Some graduates would rather become a fraudster than  work for money legally .Some of them lack the vision to find a legit path to success.

Some parents also encourage their children in doing Yahoo. They feel that their can’t be caught or they should at least enjoy life as their parents. They don’t know nothing lasts forever. Any money not acquired by the works of your hands will be spent wastefully.

Even the so called Special Anti- robbery squad (SARS) has failed to stop this endemic. This endemic keeps growing like a wild fire.

In conclusion, yahoo yahoo is on a fast growth in Nigeria, and even the law enforcement agencies that could do something about it only collect money from them and leave them to continue their fraud.
