Okikiola Aremu: The Necessary Evil -By ‘Pelumi Fakinlede

I have marvel why Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is the most abused and insulted Nigerian by fellow countrymen including those who can’t build their own home talk less of building a nation. Believe it or not, Dr Matthew Obasanjo has done so much for this country and in fact the medium by which I am writing this is a result of work he did as a president.

Who is Aremu Okikiola?

Okikiola is a man who the parents gave to the church as a contribution to the work of God. Aremu is Israel in person, in fact, I call him the Ark of God, God’s property. A fight against Okikiola is a fight to challenge God. No wonder He is like Caleb who is 80 years yet as strong as a 40 years old man. Okikiola is the second to the Alake of Egbaland, he is a High Chief yet a pastor who has a doctorate and was a man who commanded victory as a soldier. Okikiola is not a man to fight, in fact, doom loom on whosoever tries that. The day Aremu dies, God permits it.

Many don’t know that a man like Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is needed to curb some excesses in our dear nation. He instituted the two Anti-corruption agencies this current administration has turned into a well known political dog. It is only a bastard who will go around to insult this man because what Baba Obasanjo has done for this country, none of them had done a quarter. He is the hope of democracy because he could have clung to power as a Head of State during the military regime. He promised Nigerians that he will bring democracy and he did.

When he came in 1999, Nigeria was as good as gone but with his initiatives, Baba Okikiola went. the world to sell a new Nigeria and the world bought it from him. Dr. Aremu is a no nonsense man and I dared Boko Haram to have raised a hand during his eight years rule as a civilian president if they won’t be a forgotten issue. Baba Iyabo is not a saint though, he is human and every human exhibit the nature. Our London and Paris club debts were forgiven because He went out of his way to look for help.

Though some say he has contributed to the problems of Nigeria, I say he has made us see that Nigeria has a problem which needs to be solved. If there is No Baba Okikiola to shout, only God knows what we would have turned into. Some said he is trying to redeem his image, if I were him, I will do likewise. Chief Olusegun Okikiola Aremu Matthew Obasanjo PhD is a force to reckon with in Nigerian politics. I say Baba is the necessary Evil we need to keep Nigeria going.
