That Same Faith; My deep conviction on the killings of Christians in Nigeria… and it’s semblance with Acts 12 -By Barnabas O. Atungwu

That same faith that gives us prosperity, turns us to money magnet… without us having to rob a bank, yes!!!! That same faith, that veeeeeery faith can bring us peace without us having to kill!!!

Money is as spiritual as peace… Peace has ears like money does and listen like it does… Peace answers like money does…

If it brings you money without you robbing a bank and can’t give you peace without you killing, then it is not faith….

Just like finances, we can whine all we can, cry all we care, complain, grumble, curse, protest… let our passion consume us or even run us over, yet the solution for peace/security like money, lies in God’s words…
Just like finances, health, SALVATION… There is no shortcut… You can’t help God!!!

Scripture is full of examples of men, women, families and Nations who enquired of God and those who did not. Where it comes to the will and instructions of God, there’s no place for assumption no matter how close your relationship with God. You enquire cos in it lies your victory and strategies to victory…

Who then has enquired of the Lord? Or who is enquiring of the Lord?

It is high time our fathers in Nigeria did what the fathers of faith did in times like this: GATHER TOGETHER (even with the followers), seek God’s face, get God’s word and lead the people according to God’s instructions…(1Sam 10:22, Judges 20:18, 1Sam 30:8, Acts 12:5…).

It is also high time our youth woke up from our “religious high” and hold the hands of our spiritual fathers… Just like Aaron and Hur did for Moses in Exodus 17. You’re more than a Zombie… You’re beyond just running around… and it’s time to live 1 Tim4:12 and Psalms 127:5.

Just like in Romans 10 (particularly verses 9-13) If every believer in Nigeria, irrespective of denomination, ethnic descent, status… Stand on God’s word as pertains the security of lives of Christians in danger i.e believe and in one voice, pray and confess/declare the word… He says we “SHALL be saved” and “SHALL not be put to shame”… God will heal our land (2Chron.7:14)

In closing, what is going on now is akin to what happened in the build up to Acts 12 as well as the events in that Chapter.
It bears too close semblance with what happened to the Church at that time for us to ignore..

This may give us insight to all that is happening now and guide us on what to do…
Verse 5 is very instructive… There are still some Peters that could be saved…. A sealed lip is a sealed destiny… THAT SAME FAITH…
