Christianity, Daddy Freeze: The Realization Of The Shortcut That Never Was -By Nneka Okumazie

Songs of joy

It is possible that wickedness, for some, is shortcut to happiness. It is possible that the default mode of looking for the easy way out becomes so pervasive that some subsist on the shortcut model from mood, to status, ambition, etc.

The fact that things stop, at some point, is hardly considered in using shortcuts to solve desperation.

There are some who went fast and early, only to get to the destination for an endless wait. There are some who seemed unfortunate to find the fast way, but went through the long one, learning, growing and becoming better, making the destination treasured and enjoyable.

There are some their minds didn’t leave the one – useful and genuine – thing they wanted to do, and saw hope, but no shortcut, but waited to learn through the process to become it, rather than cheating the process.

It is possible the human nature wants it at an instant, not to wait. There are reasons why waiting seems frustrating. There are some who waited and never seemed to get it. There are some with low psychological strength to sustain patience, maybe due to fear, failure, greed, deceit, etc.

There are great things that only come by patience – obeying recommendation. There are those who seemed to have mastered the model of patience that the trends, pressures, storms, etc. of life, hardly swing them much. [Galatians 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.] [Job 14:14, If a man die, shall he live [again]? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.]

True Christianity teaches patience. There are several examples in the Scriptures. Patience is needed to lead a better life, more peaceful and more hopeful.

[Hebrews 6:15, And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.]

Patience can be the difference between happiness and sadness. It can be the difference between understanding and ignorance. Patience can save from trouble. Patience can be an ultimate wisdom. [Zephaniah 2:3, Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.]

Patience can inspire answers to things wondered about, especially on reward, since there are deviations from a good course because of lack of patience. [Galatians 6:9, And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.]

Some people will do no good because they think there is no reward. Some will do no good because of assumption that certain panhandlers want to take advantage or something worse.

But skipping – helping out – for a general assumption could cut off those who really need it – looking no different from those who may have requested otherwise.

It is more pointed for committed Christians to always do good especially within the Faith, and not hold back, in many ways possible because any true Christianity without love is a sham. [Galatians 6:10, As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all [men], especially unto them who are of the household of faith.] [1 Corinthians 13:2, And though I have [the gift of] prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.]

Yes, love is like work. It takes patience and can be tough. But true love goes through the narrow way, with patience, not the wide way, with latitude, few boundaries and several shortcuts.

Patience can also be the factor to have an impactful life, where sacrifice is made in goodness, meekness, diligence, resilience, example to the believers, commitment to GOD, pure heart, holiness in secret and in the open, wishing others well, etc. It also takes patience to be able to do these. [Matthew 25:18, But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.] [Matthew 25:26-27, His lord answered and said unto him, [Thou] wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and [then] at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.]

Roughly similar to one life, but many live it for greater impact to affect more and one life goes with several more blessed, unlike some, shaky and no courage.

[Matthew 13:22, The seeds that fell among thorn bushes stand for those who hear the message; but the worries about this life and the love for riches choke the message, and they don’t bear fruit.]

Many have true patience for selflessness rather than shortcut for selfishness. For some, everything is desperate haste, but to nowhere. [2 Kings 3:26, And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him seven hundred men who drew swords, to break through to the king of Edom, but they could not.]

Science and business processes involve lots of patience, but recent technology submits shortcut to attention, fame, anger, wealth, response, etc.

But, there is no direct medication to induce waiting, or patience. The sure way to get it is through the Holy Spirit.

And those who truly have the Holy Spirit are extraordinary people because having patience does not often merge with the mind.

The minds of some tricked them into thinking their situation is the worst – making them despondent and desperate. They sometimes cannot rise above their mind, forgetting that what their minds magnified for them as failure or hopelessness is easily answered in patience. Some later found out in life.

Sometimes, there are never shortcuts, no matter what is offered. Christ is the only Way. Also, there are several other paths in life that there are no shortcuts, but many things look like it for the time, only to fail later. [John 14:6, JESUS saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.]
