Lessons From The 2024 Ramadan Tafsir -By Muhammad Aliyu Almarkazy
During the 2024 Ramadan Tafsir which differs from the previous years, there is a great improvement if not total attitudinal change from the side of the preachers who mostly dwelled on unity and peacefull coexistence among the ethno-religious background and the need to engage in fervent prayers for the country to over come it economic predicament.
Tafsir is a spritual act in every holy month of Ramadan where clerics translates verses from the glorious Qur’an to the Muslim ummah and guide them through the teachings of the month.
During the Tafsir period, people rush to the worshiping centres (mosques) to listen to Allah’s revealation on the Islamic religion in the world over.
As a usual practice from our forefathers the clerics always focuse on the translation of verses of the holy book of Qur’an and some Islamic related books within the context of the religion as a means of propagating the Islamic knowledge.
One may wonder why in the course of presenting the Tafsir,some of the clerics goes extra mile to launch an abusive attack on some preachers from different sect instead of doing the needful to prevent inter religious conflict.
This has become more alarming and increasing issue of great concern with the advent of new technology where those inciting comments are some times instantly spread to heighten tension among the public with the aid of their smart phones.
