A Call to Jigawa State Governor About The Missed Auyo Local Government Area -By Adamu Harisu Abdullahi

Auyo local government area was among the list of 774 local government area in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as it was created by the administration of General Sani Abacha of blessed memory, from Hadejia and kafin Hausa local government areas,It is bordered on the north by Hadejia, kiri-kasamma and Malam madori local government areas,on the west by kaugama and miga local government areas,on the south by kafin Hausa local government and on east by Bauchi state.

The local government has a total land area of 512km square and a population of 132,001 as of 2006 census revealed .Auyokawa language now extinct was formerly spoken in Auyo. Auyo LGA has 10 political wards including Auyo, Auyakayi, Ayama, Ayan, gatafa, gamafoi, gamsarka, kafur, tsidir and unik. It has two district Head palace of Auyo and Ayama district. Most of habitatant of Auyo LGA are farmers and some little are traders and civil servant across the state and federation.

The federal government under the watch of your party has recognition for the local governments area as it was seen by the intervention put aside to rescue our fatherland through the intervention of federal ministry of water resources for rehabilitation of our irrigation project which is the major activities of the residents of the LGA, also among all the programme that was initiated across the LGAs of the federation has recognitionof Auyo LGA, to mention such as NPower program, special public works, conditional cash transfer to mention was benefitted by our LGA, but in jigawa state which normally has 27 local government areas, under the administration of former governor Alhaji Ibrahim saminu turaki(199-2007) has recognition for Auyo Auyo LGA, to mention his project include flood embankment, housing estate in collaboration with African development foundation, support for sugarcane farms, rehabilitation of kwanar Kateje to Ayama ,initiation of eastern by pass which pass to some part of the LGA, site for new secretariat complex to mention among are laudable project to the LGA, all some people from the LGA was also appointed in his cabinet. Also the administration of former governor Alhaji sule lamido (2007-2015) also has recognition for the LGA for implement of projects such as construction of township road, street lights, rehabilitation of kwanar Auyo to kafin Hausa, rehabilitation of some school in the LGA,rehabilitation of the secretariat, involvement of our indigenous people in his cabinet to mention few of his project that have impact on us.

The people of the LGA contributed hugely to achieve your success in to the office of the governor of Jigawa state (2015 to date)as reported by independent national electroral commission (INEC) in the year 2015 and 2019 respectively, but unfortunately, your excellency you removed it out of the list of local government areas in the state with the following reasons, sir since your assumptions as the executive governor of Jigawa state, there is no single project executed for betterment of Auyo LGA, our source of water supply was at deplorable state, both villages and even the local governments headquarter are in highly demand for water supply this lead to diseases out break in the area such as chlolera in the town such as Maro,Shamakeri,and even Auyo as of data that I gathered before filling this report and many people lost their lives, also heath care services auyo LGA was at the lowest attention from your government sir, as I can said now almost all the LGAs in the your administration elevated one or more health care facility to general hospital with no one in our dear LGA Sir, your administration never built any health care facility in this LGA, sir are not part of the state or we are to be called as the missed LGA in the state.

Road construction, your administration lack recognition for us as it was reported by Radio jigawa your administration construction over 1000km road network across the state, but no single kilometer in Auyo LGA sir are the missed LGA sir,??. Most of our state own school in the LGA are at dilapidated state since you assumed office sir especially governments day school school Auyakayi, but your administration has renovated several across the state are we still the missed LGA in the state?? and each local government area in the state has a boarding school with the exception of Auyo LGA.

With the nature of Auyo LGA as the flood plain area the LGA was affected by flooding in the year 2018 you made a promise to us but you never achieve it, and also the federal government intervention through national emergency management agency (NEMA) Auyo was also missed a report gathered indicates that your administration lack interest in Auyo that why the relief materials never reach the LGA sir, are we still the missed LGA??

Sir since you assumed office as the executive governor of our dear state you never appoint any person from Auyo LGA in to your cabinet, and we have contributed heavily in your elections victory even morethan many LGA in state, are we still the missed LGA sir??.
