Adamu Garba ll and the audacity of fundraising -By Ali Tijjani Hassan

The young Adamu, look to be in his 40s, and hold no any public office prior his declaration, likely to be corruption-free-citizen, and he could make a good President if elected and be the ‘Mr. Integrity’ we were craving earlier. As he said “we failed many experiments with individuals that knows nothing but public service”. At the tender age of fourty, Adamu’s mind is not obsessed and dominated with lively greed.

Garba II

Lately, at the previous weeks, one of the able young people we have in the North by the name Adamu Garba, from Adamawa state, of Northeastern region, declared his interest to vie in to the office of the President of the federal republic of Nigeria under the platform of ruling party, the APC, against the forthcoming election, scheduled to be in the month of March, 2023. Adamu, a young entrepreneurial pedagogy with fervent ability of learning, that nestled the slogan of Youth-4-Youth movement, happened to be the source of motivation, inspiration and encouragement to the Young generation that; we still have a hope in leadership. He revived our buried ambition toward government and leadership.

After I watched his declaration of interest speech, and read his visionary parable, “This is my Nigerian vision for the Presidency”, I learnt that; bundles of courage and braveness are kept in this young man. He meant business-like to his ambition. In other hand, he stupendously takes the national threats like corruption, unemployment and insecurity into his priorities. If elected, he would cements the deteriorating deficits that shackles this country.

His dream of lifting the country close to heaven by transforming it to 21st century’s Nigeria. So that we can compete globally in terms of diplomacy, development and economic productivity.

Audacity of Fundraising:

Audacity of fundraising, for a citizens of a country to donate their hard-earned and pecuniary incomes to the contestant to bought an expression form, was first introduced over the political space of Nigeria by present President Muhammadu Buhari, that bamboozled Nigerian to sent their accumulative income to his ‘fes benk’ account which numerous portion of Nigerian seen as fraudulent and daylight robbery, that the aspirants uses to avoid bankruptcy if they lost to make it in the primaries. This beguiling techniques was used twice by Buhari in his democratic terms, and it becomes a modus-operandi among shining politicians. it’s one of the Nigeria’s political culture that many Nigerian abhorred.

To me, if this fraudulent has to be puts in practice amidst this life plight and economic hardship, there is no politician that fit the kind of supportive gestures from his followers than two political idols; Sen. Shehu Sani of Kaduna state, and Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, of Kano state. But to all my pleasure these humble men surreptitiously takes their form of interest without coward ploy.

Adamu Garba ll, too has adapt this weapon and pave his way to national legendary. The matter arose, and transmuted to night thunder not only to Adamu Garba ll, but to many deceitful cartoon-sketch candidates. But alas, he received the shocking response of his life, as most of the responders took his notion as a joke and responded with a kind of joke we’ve never witness.
The saddened part of this is is that, some scrupulous individuals and political aye-sayers are busy promoting this delusional love to spendthrift governor like one of Yobe state.

In a saner clime, people to used their hard-earned money to sponsor any candidate is not a good idea, but with the kind of deceive we witnessed from the previous candidate that went through the same system, the culture had to be stopped and allow people to deal with the incompetency of these politicians.
