Barcelona were forced to come from behind on three occasions to secure a dramatic 3–3 draw against Club Brugge in their UEFA Champions League encounter on Wednesday night.

Teen sensation Lamine Yamal shone for Hansi Flick’s side, helping the Spanish giants avoid defeat in a pulsating contest at the Jan Breydel Stadium.

Barcelona’s defensive frailties were exposed throughout the match as Brugge’s Carlos Forbs delivered a standout performance—scoring twice and providing an assist for Nicolo Tresoldi’s opener.

The Catalans replied through Ferran Torres, Yamal, and an own goal by Christos Tzolis, salvaging a point despite missing several key players through injury.

The hosts struck first when Forbs set up Tresoldi to finish early on. Torres quickly levelled for Barça after a smart pass from Fermin Lopez, but Forbs restored Brugge’s lead before halftime with a precise finish after a quick one-two with Tzolis.

Barcelona hit the woodwork multiple times through Lopez, Jules Kounde, and Eric Garcia, before Yamal equalised with a slick combination move, flicking past goalkeeper Nordin Jackers to make it 2–2.

Forbs continued his sensational night by netting his second goal after a through-ball from Hans Vanaken, lifting the ball delicately over Wojciech Szczesny for Brugge’s third.

However, Barcelona found another response late on. Yamal’s curling shot took a deflection off Tzolis and flew past Jackers to make it 3–3.

Brugge thought they had snatched victory in stoppage time when Romeo Vermant poked the ball into an empty net after Szczesny’s error, but VAR ruled the goal out for a foul on the goalkeeper.

The draw extends Barcelona’s shaky run of form following their recent Clasico defeat to Real Madrid, but Flick’s men will take encouragement from their resilience in Belgium.
