BREAKING NEWS: Buhari Sacks CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.

Recall that on the 11th of May, the president ordered members of his cabinets who are interested in running for office, to resign their positions on or before May 16th.

The President however cannot unilaterally sack a CBN Governor, the Senate will have to ratify it. So the question is from where did Buhari get the power to sack Emefiele?
