BREAKING NEWS: NAF bombs terrorists’ hideouts in Borno, kills scores

Over 200 terrorists have been killed during air interdiction carried out by the air component of Operation Hadin Kai in Borno State.

Among the terrorists eliminated during the operations were five Islamic State of West African Province commanders.

A military source said the Air Component stormed terrorists’ locations at Gabchari near Bama and struck them severally.

 The source added that the ground troops also engaged the terrorists after they fled from the air strikes.

 The source said, “Aircraft under the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai were immediately scrambled to provide Close Air Support and engage the terrorists in successive passes. The strikes were deemed successful as lifeless bodies of terrorists were observed around the points of impact. “

“After the air strikes, the aircraft maintained Close Air Support on the withdrawing troops until they returned back to base.”

When contacted, the spokesperson, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, confirmed the operation.

“The number of terrorists eliminated in this operation clearly goes to prove the lethality of synergy and cooperation in any military operation,” he said.
