The author of this articles believes the movie “Oleku”by Tunde Kalani was only a rescue from boredom way back in 1996 – 1997. I doubt it, if my parent has given birth to me in the era, when the movie was produced.

One of his justification and lesson he learnt in the movie (as stated in article) was that, it it very wrong for parents not to be the rightful person to determine the choice of future for their children. That’s very fantastic, but as for me the story is different, actually, that’s not my take home from the movie.

I watched the movie sometimes in 2004 at very my tender age while in primary school, you dare not underrate this kind of movie, because it appears to be one of the best production in those days.

I don’t actually know where things got wrong in this generation, many people really don’t want to talk about the good presentation of “campus confraternity” in this movie, Perhaps because of the kind of situation that we find ourselves in this generation.

This movie ought to be the kind of movie that could have received uttermost criticisms is those days but, instead the case changes, all what we have been seeing so far are series applauds for amazing story and for excellent production.

If one should critically look at the story dramatized in the movie, one might be tempted to accept the fact that campus confraternity is a good endeavor for tertiary institution students in this generation to adopt to be able to achieve excellence grades in their academic pursuit. Which may be perfectly correct without any fact of utterances.

People like me took the advantage of this movie to exercise some steps while in the university, of which I get to realize that different people are with different problems, we cannot use the same techniques to proffer solution to our problems.

According to English language, cultism does not connote negativism. But in this generation, we don’t have confidence to prove that wrong or right. We see so glaring how this society interprets “cultism” to us in an unjustified manner that tend not to be bearable in this generation.

Lastly, yesterday I read a news on Legit.ng Breaking News that the Lagos State Chairman of NURTW, Alhaji MC celebrated his son’s achievement in Instagram, for joining AlphaBeta campus confraternity, in one of the universities in United States of (USA). His membership gave rise to this caption on his Instagram post “my son makes me proud”. Which suppose to be right interpretation of campus confraternity in Nigeria.
