Dr Pastor Paul Enenche (Dunamis Int’l) Cannot Ignore This Heresy By His Mentor Abel Damina -By Joe Dauda

On camera (except this was a CIA-grade photoshop operation) Abel Damina said the following words to a mesmerized congregation that was cheering him every step of the way:

Pastor Paul Enenche

Joe Okechukwu once published a video calling out Abel Damina as a false teacher. I can’t recall the particular topic addressed but I could see the point Mr Okechukwu was making and my view was that he was right and Abel Damina was out of line in using the Bible the way he had done, just to sustain a position in line with a narrative. I did not write about that experience because it simply was not necessary to do so. Why should I bother to write about the apparently false teachings of a celebrity pastor when someone else (Joe Okechukwu in this case) had done a good job of analyzing the issue and publishing same through a YouTube video? But this case is different.

One of my adopted sisters (Stellamaris) sent me a video a few days ago and requested that I watch and share my opinion. I just watched the video. The focus of the video is Abel Damina, who has publicly stated that he was the one that ordained Dr Pastor Paul Enenche into the ministry. The issue raised in that video is so serious I did not feel my fingers will type fast enough in addressing it. So I planned calling my sister to debunk Abel Damina’s position with just a few scripture references. But I was busy doing something at the time I watched the video. This caused me to become frantic. I couldn’t wait to finish what I was doing so I can call my sister and clarify to her that what Abel Damina had espoused in the video (although sounding smart and deeply insightful) was an insidious bit of theology that could only have emanated from the arch deceiver, whose name is Satan, Lucifer, and the devil. It was before calling her that I was led to do a piece instead so that others can be guided and benefit from my response.

Is this man, Abel Damina, still Pastor Paul Enenche’s mentor? If he is not, why should his statements be all over the internet telling whoever cares to read that he was the one that ordained Pastor Paul Enenche? I’m not a Dunamis member and I’m not holding brief for Pastor Enenche or anybody for that matter, but his church and influence is massive and I will not sit idly by while this influence is utilized  by a third party to lead people astray and do harm to the truth of Christ in such a blatant manner: not after God had permitted me to watch a video of him speaking heresy.

If Abel Damina is still Pastor Enenche’s mentor, then loyalty to Jesus Christ demands that Pastor Enenche publicly comes out to dissociate himself and Dunamis International Gospel Centre from this heresy. Silence is not an option. And this is why:

On camera (except this was a CIA-grade photoshop operation) Abel Damina said the following words to a mesmerized congregation that was cheering him every step of the way:

Quote:

“God does not live in heaven.

God does not live in heaven. So that’s why your goal should not be heaven. If your goal is heaven, it is a stupid goal.

Apostle Paul said “heaven cannot be at last. It is heaven at first”.

So let me answer the other one: God does not live in heaven. So I know you’re gonna ask me, where does he live.

You’re already asking?

The Bible calls God “the immortality that dwelleth in unapproachable light, which no man has seen nor will ever see.

So, if you say He lives in heaven, I have a question. But before I ask you my question, Genesis 1:1.

Genesis 1:1. And I want everybody to read with me like a mass choir. Everybody Genesis 1:1.

1, 2, go:

“In the beginning, God created heaven and earth . . .”

Now hold on:

If there was a day when God created the heaven and the earth . . .

Are you catching the flow?

(By this time, the congregation, believing they were on the verge of receiving a great revelation, had gone wild and many were on their feet waving and screaming)

So the question . . .

(At this point Abel Damina spoke in what is assumed to be tongues but which is actually unintelligible gibberish; no insult intended)

So, if there was a day God created heaven and earth, where was He before that day?” Anywhere He was, that is where He is. Because He said, “I am the LORD. I changeth not”.

End Quote.

If this wasn’t a serious issue, it would have been laughable and would have qualified as a good piece of comedy. But the cleverness and bold faced deception in this presentation by Abel Damina (who should know better) is so serious it demands an answer from heaven, not on the last day, but now — in this 2022!

If someone not conversant with the Bible should be unfortunate enough to hear the words of Abel Damina (for example, a Muslim) they will believe him at face value because he is right in a way. The Bible does say that God created the heaven and the earth. It is thus a fair deduction to posit that, before creating heaven, God must have existed first. And His existence must have required a residence, which cannot be the same heaven He created while already existing.

What Abel Damina Did Not Tell His Hapless Congregation

There is a warning from God about tampering with His word the way Abel Damina has done. And it is stated in at least 3 places in the Bible — twice in the Old Testament and once in the New Testament. The warning in the New Testament is in the Book of Revelation — and it comes with a curse.

Old Testament

Deuteronomy 12:32

“What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it”.

The second case is in Deuteronomy 4:2.

New Testament

Revelation 22:18, 19

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city . . . .”.

What Abel Damina has done is to “take away from the words . . .” of the Bible.

And I will like to believe that the man that ordained Pastor Paul Enenche over 2 decades ago must have read the Bible from cover to cover at least once. It is hard to believe he does not know that Paul the Apostle was taken in vision to the very heaven that houses God’s throne. Hear how Paul describes this heaven, over 14 years after the experience. The only hint I will give you is that the heaven where God lives is also known as paradise.

2 Corinthians 12:2,4

“I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago . . . such an one caught up to the third heaven. How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter”.

Yes indeed, there is a first heaven, a second heaven, and a third heaven. The first heaven is the sky everybody can see when they raise their head up outside; the second heaven houses the sun, moon and stars; and the third heaven is beyond both the first and the second heaven.

In the Old Testament, this third heaven where God lives is referred to as the heaven of heavens.

Deuteronomy 10:14

“Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD’s thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is”.

1 Kings 8:27

“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?”

Can Pastor Abel Damina claim not to know these scriptures? Assuming, for the sake of argument, that he does not know the above scriptures, what made him decide to counter the words of Jesus Christ while talking to people that are supposed to be followers of Jesus Christ?

Even in the Lord’s Prayer, which Jesus Christ Himself taught His disciples, the very first words are what Abel Damina is toying with. What did Jesus Christ say?

Matthew 6:9

“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name . . . “.

If Jesus Christ says God is in heaven, who is Abel Damina to say the direct opposite of those words? What sensation is he so desperate to create? What wisdom is he trying to give his church members that requires him to risk being exempted from the kingdom of God by stating only half a truth? Why should he refer to heaven in this manner and not tell his people that there is a third heaven?

Why unsettle the minds of people who do not understand the Bible as much as you do by telling them something as serious as, “if your goal is heaven, it is a stupid goal?”

Are you suggesting that their goal (a wise goal in your view) should be to travel to the United States or Canada?

What is the mission of this man?

Is this what other pastors are teaching or is this man a lone voice?

What This Video is an Example Of:

Because people have been programmed to shout intermittently while their pastors are preaching, their sense of discrimination (necessary for every adult) is easily bypassed. No matter how obnoxious what their Pastor says, they first hail him before thinking about it — that is if they ever do.

Let me stop right here and allow you to chew on this for now.

I am already thinking of expanding this topic to prove, through a real story in the Bible, that God lives in the third heaven. So there is most likely going to be a Part 2 of this piece. Stay tuned!

May God have mercy on all of us.
