Fubara And Wike, My 2 Cent’s (STRICTLY POLITICS) -By Rabiu Oladele

This is not to eulogize any politician but to look at issues critically as they unfolds. Reason I will always respect BAT when it comes to politics, that Man is gifted, if you really want to understand my analysis, go and study how PDP became incapacitated in Lagos from 1999 till today.

Sim Fubara and Tinubu

The student of politics will never be surprised by the recent development seeing that Sim is having issues with Wike his political godfather, I am not surprised at all but considering how soon this happened is so amazing…

For anyone who understands the politics of the Niger Delta, especially Rivers state will never be surprised, see the case of Peter Odili, Calestine Omehia, Rotimi Amaechi, Wike Nyesom and now Siminalayi Fubara. It has always been a very big fight of power and this because of the political war lord’s scattered in the state and the introduction of Armnesty by Yar’Adua some years ago but I am not going there today

What I wish everyone of us should observe is how good and bad each camp addressed the issue of Sim and Wike

In the camp of the PDP, some of them especially those loyal to Atiku Abubakar sees it as an opportunity to bring Wike down just to pay him back on the role he played in making sure Atiku didn’t become the president, the camp also called on Sim to use every power he has to make sure he destroy Wike politically, someone even said Sim should find a way to destroy the houses Wike built illegally, they are thinking towards the direction of REVENGE

In the camp of the Obidients, they got separated in opinion. A faction believe Wike should also be brought down because he also played a certain road in making sure Peter Obi never got elected in 2023 so they believe in the statement of “olorun ti mu e” and they always come with the saying of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”. The other faction believes it’s not their fight and they are less concerned and they always come with this saying “the enemy of my enemy is his enemy, nothing concern me”

In the camp of the APC, they all were in support of Wike and wish the president BAT gives every support needed by Wike to fight Sim and crumble him or even impeach him legally or illegally, they believe in this because they want to pay back to Wike for supporting BAT

Regardless of the actions and inaction of any camp, what I think is, every camp are justified by their actions because it’s politics and it should be played by the rules, however there’s always a consequence that comes with every steps taken in the political world and you must be ready to face it.

But there’s a camp I haven’t talked about and it’s taking a very good and smart move in this issue of Fubara and Wike, that is the camp of BAT himself. Instead of supporting Wike, he decided to call Wike and Sim to a meeting to discuss on how they can settle between each other, this seems to me as a smart move which so many aren’t seeing here. If peradventure BAT manages to settle the rift, this will definitely be another political point scored by BAT because he might end up winning so many hearts from the camp of PDP. Already, we’ve started seeing reaction from bigwigs in PDP in relation to this development, especially from Bala Muhammad, the Governor of Bauchi stare thanking BAT for interfering. If this act is further intensified by BAT, I think we are already tilting towards a one party system in Nigeria and the credit will go to BAT. Already, PDP has 2 factions, those loyal to Atiku and those loyal to Wike, imagine Wike and Sim ends their fights and team up to fight the Atiku camp then canvass people to join PDAPC, it will be the death of PDP

In politics, no permanent enemy, no permanent friend.

I rest my case.
