High Rates Of Crime Among Youths In Nigeria -By Rahila Markus

I wish the government and those in power will look into this lingering issue of unemployment among graduates and offer them job opportunities in other to reduced the high rate of crime in Nigeria.

We find ourselves in a country and society where crime enlarging everyday, this act is happening as a result of increment of unemployment in the country we are in a country whereby a lot of young graduates who have attained a sound certificate from various institutions across globe, and still at home without been considered for a desire job of their dream by government. One of the major causes of high rate of crime in our society by the youths today is unemployment, of which this menace led many youth to be partakers of illegal acts in the country at large.

Looking at the present state of the country, life seem to be very critical and difficult due to inflation on products hitting harder day in day out even the working class Express the same issues but trying to cope with the hardship that is ravaging everywhere. Also the reason behind why young generation engaging in committing crime in the society, is as a result of skill acquisition and scarcity of job. This has resulted to the emergency of kidnapping, criminality, prostitute, drugs addict, cultism and other social vices. In order to earn a living that is beyond human comprehension.

In addition, Nigeria do graduate a talented and resourceful students year in year out who are so much interested in given out their best to their knowledge but the opportunity for them to bring the initiative and development of ideas which is bestowed on them, but such set of people are been denied of not given job opportunities , rather such opportunity are being given to the prominent children or those in power which some those don’t have the knowledge or skills requires in managing such positions been offer to them.
