Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has officially broken a Guinness World Record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, weighing an astounding 8,780 kilograms (19,356 lb 9 oz).

The record was achieved in collaboration with food brand Gino at Victoria Island, Lagos, and has now been formally recognized by Guinness World Records.

In an announcement on Monday via X (formerly Twitter), Guinness World Records stated:

Baci, who gained global attention in 2023 with her headline-making cook-a-thon, has once again showcased Nigerian cuisine on the world stage with this remarkable achievement.

Ahead of the official confirmation, Guinness World Records shared a message of support, reposting a video from the event and writing:
