How To Actualize Grassroot Empowerment In Niger State And Nigeria At Large -By Shariff M.M A-hassan

We must give credit to the Federal Government on the numerous empowerments it offered to Nigerians. Notably:

i- The N-Power and rests.
ii-The Trader Moni.
iii- All others too many to mention.
While on the part of States their main empowerment is centered on white collar jobs settlement like:

i- Offering of job appointments in different categories of special assistants. Some with definite offices while others have no office/s at all but to collect their stipend at the end of the month.
ii-Extension of contract jobs to those who are capable as another form of empowerment and settlements.
iii- Individual effort of some Political Office Holders who in order to promote their political prowess do give out some empowerments.
iv-Effort of empowering others by upcoming  politicians for them to be recognized in their immediate areas.
v-Voluntary empowerment by good spirited individuals for the growth and development of their people and area like pro bono services.

All these are the various forms of empowerments by the government/s,Politicians and Individuals. These to some extent are still not yielding much positive result. Reasons are many and still the results expected are yet to be achieved. 

As such I honestly wish to suggest new empowerment system for the government, the Politicians and good spirited individuals to adopt especially for the Younger generations. However, I would first send a warning to them that, they must put pride and fullness or I’m this or that apart if indeed they want to succeed in life.

THE SUGGESTIONS

i- Empowerment to sell and to have Tea joints.(#50,000 can do including tables,bench and provisions )
ii- Empowerment to sell bread in particular (#100,000 can serve including acquisition of transport ( bicycle) and to purchase bread.
iii- Empowerment  for Mobile barbing saloon either modern or local. ( # 100,000 for modern barbing business. While ( #50,000 can go for the local barbing business).
iv- Empowerment for mobile food vendor.( #100,000 can start the business including well constructed wheelbarrow for easy movement. 
v- Empowerment for mobile charging gadgets.( #150,000 including small generator and charging gadgets.

HOW TO MAKE THESE POSSIBLE:

Whoever want to empower anybody based on the above, must ensure to ask the beneficiary to get a responsible Surety/Guarantor who will be ready to take an undertaking to refund if the money is diverted to other business/es or means.

So also the Beneficiary must sign an undertaking to be prosecuted and punished if such empowerment benefits are either diverted or the money or material is sold or used for other purposes.

If these are applied in our societies and our youths accepts them and also put aside pride, the sky shall be their limit. I passionately appeal to those that have means to try any of these empowerments, and use the conditions I highlighted above, success shall be achieved.
