It’s Badr! -By Ismail Misbahu
The 17th Day of Ramadan
When the mischief faces reddened
Blowy, twisty-whiskered and rotten
The Servant’s hour of miracle
A Day for Muhammad (s.a.w)
A dismay for the Kuffar
Though under the hottest sun
With hunger sores throats itching and hurting
Fasting refilled the hearts with Imaan
Strengthening the courage of his following
To fight with One Word, one for twos
Hundreds for thousands, that courage!
Like a duel like a fight, it all began
Messy messy messy it out-turned
Mercy mercy mercy so for Muslims
Misty misty misty all dark for the Kuffar
Helter-skelter in ones, in twos or in threes
With chattering dog-whistles
Leading their way to captivity
Miraculous miraculous a Day it was
The miracle of Muhammad to turn Angels a man
God sent them in humans
To learn and carry the ploughshares of sword
When all it is known one angel is enough in second
What hath the creepy-crawlies to call it fight with Tigers?
The answer is for All, Muhammad (s.a.w)!
He’s for all God must engage
For all angels to hold a sword
To fight the hearken of spears
313 in squares, 1000 in scares
A lesson for us to make a defense.
