Kogi’s Freedom In Sight As Philips Salawu Begins His Journey To Lugard’s House

The Labour Governor candidate for Kogi State, Dr. Philips Salawu has inaugurated his campaign committee saddled with the responsibility of leading the party to victory at the November 2015 Governorship election in Kogi State.

For the Labour party in Kogi State, we see the coming election as a battle to rescue the soul of the state from those who have perpetually held the freedom of our people hostage over the years. There is a battle to win. Not just to be fought. It is a battle of freedom. The front is the forthcoming 2015 gubernatorial election in Kogi State. The people of Kogi State must realize this in the most comprehensive terms. We will not use arms or bear charms. We will not rig and we will not roast human beings. But we will send out liars and those who have mismanaged the fortunes of our dear state while in position of authority before and now.

The people of Kogi State, poor and not so poor must find it in themselves to exhale and resolve. The fiefdom which Kogi had become in the past years must be torn down. There is no more four years of our children’s future to throw away.

The prize is freedom from the stronghold of those who continually mortgaged the future of our state by mismanaging the resources of our people, from outside influence and second term colonization whereby a man sits in his house and chooses who to deputize for the state. Freedom!

The symbol of this battle for liberation is Dr. Philips Salawu, a selfless and dedicated servant of his people, who was once a deputy governor and the longest ever in history of Nigeria with good antecedent s. This he achieved by dedication and commitment to the ideals of power which emanates from the people.

We urge our people not to be fooled into believing any other shade of the truth.
We must tell each other the painful truth at this junction. If a leaf is twisted, its shadow could not possibly be straight.

Today, we have a choice to make, it is about our freedom as a people and neither the PDP nor the APC can offer what it requires to take Kogi to the next level considering their candidates who both lied into our consciousness. This is why the people of Kogi state should be prepared. It is not an everyday possibility. It is a once in four years opportunity. It also gets more difficult and tricky after the first four years.
We urge our people who want to vote without being wrongly influenced to take the pains to listen to the earth-shattering revelations which would still drop as the campaigns unfold.
We must think of a governor who cares for the people as Dr. Philips Salawu of the Labour Party.
