Lagos Re-Arraigns Notorious Kidnapper Evans Over Killing of Police Officers

The Lagos State Government has re-arraigned convicted kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans, and an accomplice on fresh murder and kidnapping charges over the killing of two police officers at the Ikeja High Court.

The Lagos State Government on Monday re-arraigned convicted billionaire kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, before a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja on fresh charges related to the killing of two police officers.

Evans was re-arraigned alongside his co-defendant, Joseph Emeka, before Justice A. O. Ogala on a five-count charge bordering on murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.

Both defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Evans, who has been convicted in two of several kidnapping cases pending before different Lagos courts, is currently standing trial in five separate criminal cases involving multiple victims and charges of murder and abduction.
