MY ADVISE TO APC -By Mustapha Saddiq

APC’s farfetched change By Oche Otorkpa

It has all finished! The 2015 general elections that our political parties and politicians has been anticipating, INEC has been preparing and we the electorates have been waiting for good four (4) years has came and gone and APC as a party has successfully clinched the majority of members in both the Senate and House of Representatives. This by tradition means that the party will produce the next crop of principal officers in both the chambers.

Already many of the senators and Honourable members has shown their interest and most of them (and in some cases their allies) has started campaigning and drumming for support among themselves underground.
But then, I am advising the party handlers to keep themselves out of the National Assembly (The Senate and Reps) Principal officers’ elections. It should be clearly an in-house issue and the distinguish senators & Honourable members should be given a free hand to choose who they want to preside over them.

APC as a party has always been accusing PDP for its lack of internal democracy, so, they should further prove themselves in this issue.

More so, there could be every tendency for the members to go against the party’s anointed candidate if they feel they are not comfortable with him or her as in the case of Aminu Tambuwal and his former party (PDP) and You all will believe me that if this happen, it will start creating cracks in the party.

Whether North, South or Central, I don’t think zoning is that too good of a reason to start causing cracks in the newly celebrated party. Beside, I also don’t think zoning should supersede competence. PDP made that mistake, APC should not repeat it.
