Naira loses, now sells for N1,270 in parallel market

The naira rose to N1,270 per dollar in the parallel market Tuesday, up from N1,290 per dollar last Thursday.
Similarly, the naira rose in the NAFEM to N1,278.58 per dollar.

According to FMDQ data, the indicative exchange rate for NAFEM declined to N1,278.58 per dollar from N1,309.39 per dollar last week Thursday, indicating a naira appreciation of N30.81.

As a result, the gap between the parallel market rate and NAFEM shrank to N8.58 per dollar, down from N19.39 per dollar on Thursday last week.
