The names and images of the prisoners escaping from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Suleja, Niger State, will soon be made public, according to a statement released by the Nigerian Correctional Service.

This was revealed to our correspondent on Thursday by Federal Capital Territory Command Spokesperson NCoS Adamu Duza.

According to The PUNCH, a nonstop downpour on Wednesday night severely damaged the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Suleja, Niger State, and made it easier for 118 prisoners to flee.

The heavy rain severely damaged the correctional center’s infrastructure, including a hole in the fence that let prisoners escape.

Ten escaping prisoners, though, had been apprehended again.

In an interview with The PUNCH, Duza stated that the command was working with other law enforcement organizations to apprehend the remaining escaping prisoners and that the public will soon have access to their database.
