NITDA: Kashifu Inuwa, A Worthy Successor -By Adamu Usman Garko
For NITDA and the people of Nigeria, it’s success upon success at the agency under the watch of Mr. Kashif Inuwa; and for the honourable minister of Communications and Digital Economy, it is an avalanche joy of leaving behind a worthy successor.

To paraphrase the late Maitama of Kano, the joy of every successful predecessor is to leave behind a worthy successor. Dr. Isa Ali Pantami’s foray into the “unknown” agency, NITDA, was no doubt successful and this success was borne out of his relentless pursuits and unadulterated dream to establish a better Nigeria.
To have left the NITDA for Ministerial service didn’t mean shirking off his dream of a reformed ministry. In order to ensure continuity of his good works, he tossed the table over to his competent Technical Assistant, Kashif Inuwa.
Mr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT Sloan – trained strategist with deep experience in IT operations, business transformation, among others. Kashif attended Leadership and Management courses at Harvard University in the USA, University of Cambridge in the UK, and IMD Business School in Switzerland. Often times, it is herculean to blend deft expertise and action. But, this astute gentleman had so far proven to be double-edged and versatile with planning and implementation of revolutionary steps established by Dr. Isa Ali Pantami.
In order to build upon the legacy of his predecessor, Kashif ensured the rapid building and equipping of Computer Labs across the country. In the know of steps to take in order to fully harness the population of Nigerians for a digital Nigeria, he instituted massive training of people at the grassroot levels up to the highest hierarchy in the populace. Besides, young people with well-grounded start-up ideas but no funds have been funded. Scholarships have also been awarded and no one is hampered from quality education. Recently, under his watch, the agency commenced a job creation scheme that will provide 130 farmers each with a seed funding of up to N100,000 each with Jigawa state as the point of start.
For NITDA and the people of Nigeria, it’s success upon success at the agency under the watch of Mr. Kashif Inuwa; and for the honourable minister of Communications and Digital Economy, it is an avalanche joy of leaving behind a worthy successor.
