Let it be known that the people of Igangan in Oyo state have reported the menace of killer herdsmen to the police, military and the government at all time in the past and nothing happened. The Seriki Fulani was approached to fish out the killer herdsmen who has been killing the people of Igangan by Sunday Igboho and the Fulani Seriki said he had found the killers and meting our punishment to them. Here is a Seriki whom the police knew to have help broker negotiation with kidnappera over the years. He failed to hand the killers to the police and Ighoho gave him 7 days ultimatum to release the killers to the people of Igangan for punishment or leave the land. A land they did not own. He refused and dared Igboho. During the 7 days, he approached the police, military and presidency for protection, yet he was attacked by the angry youths and his house got burnt into ashes!

This is to tell you that those who enjoy government sympathy will not be left out and those who have sympathy for this clueless regime will not be secured when reprisal comes.

Let me say today that Arewa is a confusionist and tribalistic group because it has never at any point condemn the killings and kidnapping conducted by some Fulani herdsmen but it found its voice and stoking ethnic violence because the Fulani are told to leave a community land which was given to them by sheer benevolence for years. They do not own or have they ever paid to occupy the space. Forest reserve are for wilds and plants and not habitation. So telling them to leave those places is like telling humans to stop living inside the Yankari game reserve in Bauchi. We need to protect the ecosystem. Anyone who wants to rear cattle should build a ranch.

Not ethnic battle

It is stupid to say Yoruba’s are sending Fulani away, say Igangan youth and owner of the land they encroached on illegally and failed to negotiate ultimatum with have reclaimed their land. Simple as ABC.

Terrorism

I believe repentant Boko Haram members are fred by voracious and cunning individuals to get an initial breakthrough in the circle of land grabbing, wealth and power. Interpretation has it that in the most successful of Boko Haram attacks for years, nothing was unknown. What was happening was almost in the knowledge of those who cared to know. Even the so-called culprits were known. But no one was really booked because if you booked one of the key functionaries, he/she knew too much. Once they spilt the beans it would cause convulsions in the streets and high places and nobody knew who would be affected. So at the end of the day, a new business house was born, a rehab center for terrorist.

The government will always feel that moralist can go into convulsions and the religious leaders can thump his chest but the colt had bolted. This cannot be the place to discuss the morality and worse, of such a scenario, this is time for action, this is a time to preserve territories, our community and households. And that is what we will do.

Calling Chief Igboho a tout.

Name calling is the weapon of the weak. See, if you can call terrorist repentant, Bandits repentants why shout touts, the lowest caste of public disturbers not get the new prefix repentant. In fact from now on Sunday Igboho is a repentant-tout if we should go by your name calling.

Presidency. Arewa and the sympathy to killer herdsmen

That Arewa and presidency always find their voice only at reprisal is enough bias, why are they mute during, robbery, rape and maiming perpetrated by this herdsmen.

Just this morning military stormed a village in Ogun state to flog residents on the order of the President, only because they rejected the invasion of their community by herdsmen.
