Okuama killings: We won’t rest until we apprehend culprits – Police

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has restated its determination to apprehending those responsible for the massacre of 17 security personnel stationed on national duty in Okuoma, Ugheli South Local Government Area, Delta State.

Speaking on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ on Tuesday, NPF spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi indicated that meetings are already taking place “to handpick all the culprits.”

He stated, “From the security circle, we are conducting certain analyses.” Meetings on this topic are currently taking place with high officers, including the National Security Adviser, NSA.

“Not only in the Niger-Delta, but throughout the country, and it is our responsibility to maintain a peaceful Nigeria, but in this particular Delta, we have recorded three to four incidents in Delta State.” Everyone is bothered: the Delta state governor, traditional rulers, and Delta indigenes.

“Many of them are working with us to apprehend these assailants.” But I can promise you that they are not hibernating in any part of Delta State. They must have fled because we took the fight to them.

“We are going to pick all of them one after the other without picking innocent people. The era of picking suspects is gone. We have our direct targets, and we are going for our targets. The onus is on us to pick all of them.”
