Your Excellency, it is with due respect and honour to your high office, and heart full of pains and grievance that I write to you today. I want to start by commending your efforts so far towards seeing the development of Nigeria to its best in every angle.

Sir, I want to draw your attention to the bad state of the roads in Numan-Jalingo which is not up to (200km) and to appeal to you to declare the construction and completion of the road as state of emergency.

As you are aware that good roads and highways plays major role in nation building and contributes hugely to the country’s economic activities through which goods are transported between cities as well as people across the country to offer services, providing employments, etc. Above is attached picture of how goods (rice) are being transported in bad conditions which can increase the price.

This road has become a nightmare to the entire people of Gombe, Adamawa and the Northern region at large. It is no longer motorable and we are crying out loud. It has become such a painful exercise to visit our hometown these days. A journey that should take us a little over 4hours or less now takes 8-10 hours (From Bauchi – Taraba State).

It’s no longer new to the table of how bad our roads have been for years without any serious effort on part of the government to tackle it over the years.

In spite of the numerous times that we’ve done that but no concrete action has been taken regarding the grave situation. I can also say that about 4% to 7% portions of the road has been fixed only to see the contractors stopped the work without any reason on ground.

Hence, I would like to take the opportunity to request you to look into the matter urgently and do the needful at the earliest. Otherwise, the situation may get worse.

I want to categorically state that your government has not done much for us (if not nothing) for 5 years in office to win our trust. We have not benefitted much from your government. We feel been abandoned in anything progressive!  And I ask again, Is this the change we voted for?

Therefore, you should fix our road. That’s all we are asking for. We want to feel your care and concern.
