Considering his well-deserved reputation as a career civil servant, Alhaji Isma’il Yusuf Ashafa the Sardaunan Ikulu, born on 8th of October 1976, in Kamuru Ikulu village of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, to the family of late Alhaji Yusuf Umar Ashafa (Turakin Ikulu) and Hajiya Hadiza Yusuf Ashafa. Mr. Ashafa a full-scale farmer, tradition tittle holder, businessman, a politician and philanthropist.
After his Islamic education, he was enrolled to L.E.A. Primary School Kamuru, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and later on to Government Secondary School, Kachia and Government Secondary School, Hunƙuyi where he obtained his West African Senior Certificate (WASC/SSCE) that qualified him entry into the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning (B.URP) from ABU (2000); a Master’s Degree in Disaster Risk Management and Development Studies (2016); a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in 2018; and presently a PhD. candidate in the same University.
