Sen. Ningi: The Right Candidate For Bauchi Central Senatorial Seat -By Adamu Yalwa Gabi

…one may hardly predict an election result some times because even as politics is regarded as a game of number; by others it may refers to as a WOMB carrying an unknown baby unless given birth to; but experience is also the best teacher in life.

Senator Ningi

Almost one year now, i wrote an article with the tittle; ‘The Senate Without Abdul Ningi’ where the write up centred on analysis of the political setback the red chamber of the NASS is witnessing occasioned by the absence of a conservative, well vibrated and democratic party loyalist after the seventh NASS till date.

The fact that i am not a politician neither a political analyst but my last piece on the former house leader in the fifth NASS and deputy senate leader during the David Mark led seventh NASS who was the longest serving senate president in Nigerian democratic setting dwelled on the need for voters to avoid electing the wrong candidates out of anger but instead go for those with proven integrity, which Distinguish Sen.Abdul Ahmed Ningi is one among few in the present day political circle.

If i will be an independent major stakeholder in the electioneering process but without party affiliation in the forth coming general election, my advice to eligible voters within Bauchi central senatorial district is to shun away from voting blindly by weighing the capacity as well as successes recorded by the Walin Ningi in ensuring a level playing field through political advancements of the zone comprising six LGA’s to include Misau, Dambam,Ganjuwa,Darazo, Ningi,Warji and by extension Bauchi State and the North East as a whole with that of his remaining contenders from whatever party they emanate.

The four years stewardship of Sen.Abdul Ahmed Ningi in the Senate and by and large sixteen solid years as a federal lawmaker including his three tenures at the lower chamber had truncated any attempt by anybody to lodge his complaint on not yielding a positive colouration except unjust and unfair person who visit the Bar beach located along Bauchi State liason office Victoria Island,Lagos for the first time and sees a beautiful white igbo lady adorn in her Ankara i.e native or English wears but prefers to blacking her complexion simply because he knows the pretty glamour girl is above his level in all ramifications not to think of attempting to have a conversation with her atleast for just a second for him to feel effizy or on top others.

Barely two years now, there were a lot of outcry with tears filtering from the eyes of some concerned citizens of the aforementioned areas who tied their broom in one parcel by calling on their political mentor and indeed Father to agree and succumb to their demand to clinch the position he once served with utmost priority in providing various interventions to his electorates and beyond under the then SURE P Programme of the Jonathan/Sambo administration while he was the chairman of the said senate committee but the Man had furiosly kept refusal untill now and perhaps with some outlined conditions after the Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed who defeated Ningi in the pursuance of Guber ticket during 2019 PDP primaries intervened and pleaded on the matter by reserving him an automatic ticket for them not to be silence in legislative proceedings and feel bias any longer.

To relate the authenticity of my fact, with the Islamic religious perspective which promotes electing some body that is identified by his masses to lead them in elective office not those with high ambition to be in power by HOOK or CROOK, Abdul Ningi whose previous portfolio earned him the nick name LEADER, finally over looked all the challenges to accept the confidence reposed on him by recontesting for their sake devoid of his personal will not on the ground of been fear. The motive behind this Islamic notion on deciding who to lead/represent is; he who the people point finger on will surely perform optimally in doing the needful to ensure democracy come to stay at their door steps.

Another belief by these stakeholders, i think even without sharing any thought with them is based on their projection to win the Bauchi central senatorial office may be in a very simple, less difficult and probably less capital intensive manner as their candidate had touched all the entire federal wards interms of constructing boreholes, provision of generators for irrigation farming, empowerments/skills acquisitions, payments of scholarship to students, securing job opportunities to the teeming youths, provision of brand new air conditioned buses for the party and above all sustaining it activities through monthly allocation of one million naira to each of the six LGA’s amongst other dividend of democracy.

These advantages over riden by other factors when compared to other contestants who are seen by the political class in Bauchi State as advertisers of new products yet to gain half an acceptability in the capital market not to talk of rubbing shoulders with a person that scares not only his rivals but even the GREEN-EYED MONSTERS just as how a lion consume a tiger. No need to say much here since circumstances had now made natural thunderstorm fully rekindle light in a dark room not only for those with bad mindset but even the blind to clearly focus the implications of missing the sociologist;product of ABU Zaria’s kind of representation at the highest law making body by his constituents.

Being a writer, mingling with many political analysts and had heard from them, this may not be unconnected with a strategic ploy by Gov.Bala to easily win his second term bid if APC Governorship aspirants continue to suffer party division or tend to sieze unity of purpose the party was built on should in case victory do not comes to his side in his presidential ambition, having known the political strength of Sen.Ningi who after loosing the state ticket to Government house for Kauran Bauchi three years ago unanimously buldozzed his election success and with holistic approach as the campaign Director General to have a landslide victory against the immediate past Barr. M.A Abubakar four years led APC administration.

Looking far back, the last general elections that produced some elected officials from the state under minority parties of NNPP and PRP, while PDP that ruled the country for sixteen consecutive years watches with keen interest where as the ruling APC members pretended not watching the scenario with their two eyes opened, there is clear indication that which ever party produces the right candidates of the likes of Distinguish Sen.Abdul Ahmed Ningi and Hon.Gudaji Kazaure (APC) from neighbouring Jigawa state that is equally getting popularity in trying not to be a bench warmer by stepping his foot in to the shoes of good legislative proceedings of my subject of discussion, there is great possibility to have a soft landing in winning election before the expired voting time of 3:00pm.I stand to be corrected!!

Although, one may hardly predict an election result some times because even as politics is regarded as a game of number; by others it may refers to as a WOMB carrying an unknown baby unless given birth to; but experience is also the best teacher in life. So, you should not be left behind in accessing all the political qualities and perseverance of Abdul Ahmed Ningi to chart a new dawn of developmental stride by re-electing him in to power to represent the good people of Bauchi Central Senatorial zone, plus the entire Northern region he was used to,for the second tenure for him to continue PUTING THE RIGHT PEG IN A SQUARE HOLE,come 2023.
