The Use of Cognitive Dissonance In the Field of Mentally Psychological and Physical Ability in Nigeria -By Sani Danladi Saleh

Cognitive dissonance is the perception of contradictory information, physically and the mental toll of it. Relevant items of information include a person’s actions, feelings, ideas, beliefs, values, and things in the environment, Wikipedia.

Cognitive Dissonance can be employ by justifying the occurrence and recurring of inflation in commodities, infrastructure , Agricultural items and any other materialistic need of the Masse’s Facing Hardship in Nigeria and it’s messing with the Human ability and capabilities mentally, psychologically, Emotionally and physically.
However, due to the inflation currently going on in the country one needs to implore and applied the use of Cognitive Dissonance in their (OUR) day to day activities and purchase Regarding the things we want in exchange for the one’s we Need.

Example 1
Some One in want of a motorcycle for the child to go to lecture, to be able to meet up to the inflation at the minimum wage of their monthly income of 35,000# and the want for that child to be going to school on time and meet up with the lecture of 8:00am.
But, cannot afford to buy the motorcycle due to the inflation rate /Hunger currently going on, fueling, maintenance and of course the motorcycle will become unbearable burden at the level of a lower income of an average person.

Example 2
Further More, with the lack of money in circulation, little resources at our disposal or no any means at all and the rate of hunger in Nigeria is multiplying (increasing)every single day and rapidly to others.

Further more, the kidnappers are contributing to the Nigerian situation and putting people in a more critical and unbearable spot to both, the people being kidnapped and the One’s sourcing for the sum of money to pay for the ransom been asked.

It is a very huge and large sum of money to some of the victims families,
If one fails, failure to meet up with the kidnappers demand or request ( payment) they will carelessly eliminate the hostage.

All we can think of or about is on how we can get/afford what to eat at a particular moment or day, one can not go about spending lavishly by showing off or his family are not among those facing the current economic situation going on in Nigeria.

The Cognitive Dissonance is to bring stability to the mentally disoriented people,by shaping and making someone to see the situation as it is at the moment and into thinking in-depth on the occurrence in a given circumstances of a certain state of the situation and to see reasons for letting go of one substance for another one.

As stated in example 1.
The economic era we are in right now one need to seek, acquire and apply the knowledge of Cognitive Dissonance into his day to day activities in other to coop with the economic situation that has downturn and it’s rampaging the country is quite harming,
Where one need to apply Cognitive Dissonance in all aspects of human ramifications.
