The Virtue Of Unity -By Adebusoye Samuel Semilore

I remember the Deeper life church 7 billion naira project in lagos, to come to think of it, if it was just the pastor there’s tendency that he can’t spend as much as that, that is to say he can’t achieve it alone, but Unity the state of being together with one mindset has made their dreams reality.
Going back to a quote that says “A tree cannot make a forest”.

There’s an African quote that says “ if you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go together”.

Talking about ‘The Virtue of Unity’. Virtue in the context means ‘goodness’, ‘benefits’, ‘merits’.

Firstly , there is power in unity and it make way for greatness. Using the church as a case study, it is well known that a church is built with the help of the members and the pastor as well, because the people believe it is work of God.

Going back to a quote that says “A tree cannot make a forest”.

It bound the idea of both the pastor and the member to do great work in the church and Which leads to churches having different types of group in their midst like, (Good women group, the deacons, the usher, choir and they are all called workers in the house of the Lord). The unity among them keep the church growing and everyone in it , the power of unity make all things successful and possible among them Which they all follow the quote in the Bible that says promoting the peacefulness of living unified in harmony. We are called by the Bible to be in unity within ourselves (1 Peter 3:8).

Moving on , the impact of unity among husband and wife is very important Which has positive impacts in the lives of their children.

In our society today, most children who misbehaves on the street are always from disunited parents. It is either the parents lives separately or living under the same roof with fighting each other everyday. This is one of the abnormalities common in our society today. Unity amongst husband and wife will surely lead to their greatness in marriage. unity is one of the key to marriage , it creates a very powerful bond among them and that will lead to their succession in having children together which eventually creates a family that way and that is one of the achievement of being United because without the unity in marriage then there is 100% assurance the marriage will break and the result of not being United in a marriage is divorce. Unity maintain the spirit of bond and peace which goes the saying that says we are each others harvest; we are each other business; we are each other magnitude and bond.

In conclusion, The virtue of Unity doesn’t end among the husband and wife only, but if you would change a nation, it starts from the family.

From the moment we learn to tolerate, help, love, promote and say no to discrimination then the world will become a better place.
