Time To Heal -By Shem Godwins

In appreciation, I’ll embrace your arms,
In celebration, I’ll adore your charm,
I wish my heart was ready,
For the enticing lies of your lips,
What it needs is not love, I’m sorry
But a time to heal and dance life again.

I NEED TO HEAL.
In the middle of the sea and silence,
Your voice soothed my grieving heart,
When my tears rolled down my cheeks,
Your shirt wiped dry my leaks,
But,give my heart a vacation, to heal.

In evidence, you became so nice,
In persistence, you washed away the
Dust and pieces, you made them whole.
My heart needs to heal, give me a vacation.

I stayed in the rain, hiding my tears
Pleaded for a taste of sunshine,
In thoughts of a name to call,
You came running to my side,
Gave my broken heart dance again,
But, my heart needs to heal,it needs a vacation.

Gave me a saints commitment,
My love heart never to mortify,
Never hesitate to glorify,
The past that showed me doom,
But, what if I’m afraid of glory
And my heart needs to heal?
Afraid of your different kind of love,
When your kind sold me out,
You said you got me, yes
My ears are happy, my heart is cautious,
Pleading for a chance to heal, give it time.

In appreciation, I’ll embrace your arms,
In celebration, I’ll adore your charm,
I wish my heart was ready,
For the enticing lies of your lips,
What it needs is not love, I’m sorry
But a time to heal and dance life again.

For then, my good Samaritan
It won’t make your love miserable,
You’ll not need explaining to the world,
The thorns I inherited prior,
That will hurt and weaken your heart,
Be strong, think about us, I’ll be right here,
Give my heart time to heal, I promise.
