Building collapse in Nigeria

Residents of the Mangoro area of Lagos were thrown into panic on Thursday after a two-storey building collapsed in the community.

As of press time, it was not yet clear how many people might have been trapped in the rubble, but emergency responders had already begun rescue operations.

On ground leading the rescue efforts were officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
